Who said anything about a new mount? I thought the tinkered cloud mounts were the newest out.

Actually, according to the preview, you still are going to have to purchase this new mount but will only be able to do so once you've completed a quest chain. I think this is a great idea since it will limit who can actually get it to higher level players. Also, since it comes from LP my money is on it being a wolf of some sort.

Yep, it will be a wolf all right, at night. During the day, you are going to be riding around on a pasty skinned elf.

Here's a special sneak-peek for those of you hungry for information on what's happening in-game. Patience Pays Off for the Coercer Class The brand-spanking new Coercer class hat is ready to roll in GU34. Let me assure you, it's well worth the wait and quite pleasing to the eye! This new Coercer hat promises to keep Erudite heads warm and free from unwanted exposure. Saddle Up! A new mount will be made available for purchase to those brave enough to travel through the Loping Plains and complete a series of quests. If you seek out Heinrich, he'll provide you with all the details to get started. Quest Sharing is Caring Spread the wealth and knowledge of your quest journal with those around you! With GU34, you will be able to share most of your current quests with members of your group who meet the requirements. You can also share quests you have completed with your friends, provided they have met the prerequisites for them. What if the quest involves an item given to you by the quest giver NPC? No problem, this invaluable feature will allow your group mates to receive that item as well when you share the quest! See What You Want, When You Want With GU34, you'll be able to save and load performance profiles, aiding in your ability to control what you see in game. With a simple command, you'll be able to toggle between certain saved profiles. The end result is that you will be able to view far off things while harvesting and turn them off when you are fighting in tight spaces to boost performance!

Gnomish Tinkered Hoverboards for dudes, and Arcane Flying Broomsticks for the girls! Come on, we need flying mounts damnit! Alternatively it would be nice to have those super-fast horses from lesser faydark. The speed of existing mounts is kind of pathetic.

Ugh, I hated those. They seemed so out of place to me. I kept expecting a squad of stormtroopers to come in and arrest people for stealing their dewbacks.

Very cool. I see you have shots of at least 3 varieties (spotted, brown, and with striped legs). Could you share some information like the difficulty of the quest, if there is a purchase cost or other requirement, and most importantly the run speed. Thanks a bunch. Edit: I ran the text throug babel fish and it seems like he doesn't know the exact purchase requirements or stats. If you get a hold of this info please do share

Picture of the new mount of awesomeness can be found here.... http://www.norrath-news.de/?p=415 But the question that is plaguing me right now is will it be as fast as the fastest mount available now? I hope there are different speeds that can be purchased and not just some crappy DoF - 40% speed carpet type quest.
