Something On Which We ALL Can Agree

<p>One of the very few things WoW got partially right is lots of dances. Each race has two different dances -- one for males, one for females. You're not limited to doing just one little dance.</p><p>OK, so, yea, almost all of those dances are utterly, mind-blowingly DUMB, but at least there's a little variety to them. & I have to sadly admit that as god-awful as almost all of WoW's dances are, they're a sight better than whatever it is SOE calls that little shimmy-shake thing they saddled us with.</p><p>I'm sorry, but a barbarian tank in full plate doing the EQ2 shimmy-shake looks like he/she ought to be marching in San Francisco parades <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>So, um, yea: MORE DANCES, please. & of course, everyone is obviously going to agree with me, too; so SOE, just get it done, because We The Players have spoken!</p>

I concur, shimmy is all well and good but a little variety would be nice.  I don't always want to seduce my dance partner.  LOTRO also has a variety of dance emotes.  Come on SOE show us the love

Sometimes its the small details that really make a difference to players...  I hope to see this someday. Maybe when they finish up those new skeletons and give us new looking armor in 2010.

Things from wow i liked: /joke .. with several options, and all with voice. /dance things that embarrass me in eq2? Try doing /blush with an ogre male.

<p>I disagree Guild wars had far better emotes and dances.. </p><p>Necro death metal head banging FTW. Rangers had the break dance.. </p><p>And when healers /Flex .. omg so funny. Nothing beats trying to flex then pointing at your muscle with a confused look on your face where tanks do the full arnold Mr universe flex.</p><p> I read the cover of a magazine said they canceling Guildwars to make way for guild wars 2 prob should have gotten the mag</p>

I dont wanna kneel ontop of a chair, I dont wanna crawl next to a chair, I dont wanna beg on the floor... just wanna SIT on it and enjoy a few pints, some songs and giggles.</p><p> /sit</p>

<p>Oh my gosh, I'd love a better dance than that spatic flailing.. so un-sexy.  I'm a woodelf, I should be able to move with some grace and dignity.  Yikes.</p><p> And the ability to actually sit in a chair in my home - I'd cry of happiness.  I love my house and it's furniture and I really hate trying to line myself up just right on a stool so that I'm not floating in midair.  I almost alway miss.</p>

<p>The Fae dance is pretty cool and yes it IS different than the dance the other races do.  So let's hope they update the dance for all the races!</p><p>Nia~</p>

<p>There's still videos out there on some sites that show some of the motion capture that took place for EQ2.  I would like to encourage everyone to take a moment to think about the guy that had to do that dance.</p><p>And hell yeah we need more.  How else am I gonna do my Cecille Bidet-Mill fraps production?</p>

<p>not just dances, but even more emotes!!</p><p> more! more! more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p><p>Here is a few things i've discovered about e-motes...=)</p><p> 1) Call of whatever can be combined with emotes for a pretty cool effect.  Dancing produces an awesome rave light show!</p><p>to do this:  use call.  tap up on the keyboard really really quickly so you're char moves an inch but doesn't cancel the casting</p><p>then...emote away! (remember to hit escape before castin finishes...or your off to another place!)</p><p> 2) Brandish can be combined with all e-motes.  /brandish, and then follow it with a diffrent emote before the weapons are put away to have your weapons out durring the animation!  (/brandish /swear is my favorite one for this)</p><p>3) combine 1 and 2!!</p><p>  </p><p>NO sony this doesn't need "fixed".  these both are awesome.</p><p> And i'm sure you guys heard of harvest dancing...same thing as step 1 but while harvesting instead of calling out.  /dance works the best.</p><p>enjoy!</p>
