So LU's are pretty much a month apart. Been as short as 3 weeks prior to an expansion, or as long as 6.

Anyway, LU 33 went live on March 28th... its already April 12th and there hasn't been a test server update for LU34 yet.

So we are only 2-3 weeks from the actual live push for the update. Since sony only pushes live updates on wednesdays, I'd say April 25th or May 2nd are the likely dates for LU34 to go live.

Usually there are 2 to 3 'main' pushes of LU content to test. There are usually more patches than that, but only usually 2 big 'update notes' to test that eventually form the LU update notes on live.

We haven't seen any push to test yet, so I'm wondering whats up.

We've only had that april fools joke about the new "architect" class they are adding in LU34, and news about them setting up a PvP test server, which I guess took some time so perhaps its just going to be one of those "6 week" patch times.

BUT I'm still hoping that the delay is becuase of something major, or semi-major coming in LU34. I'm thinking they may put in a chunk (ie more than 1 part) so the SoD questline, and along with that /crosses fingers a new group instance in New Tanaria or something like that. Or whatever happened to the gods returning? We had all the heralds and, and then the 5 quests per diety, but where is the lore and continued changes to norrath (ie in commonlands and nek forest)... perhaps things are taking longer to get another global event setup or started... that portal to the plane of fear in Ferrot still is sitting there... mocking me

Probably not, but one can hope... for now I'm just eager for something, some news, some update notes, or some preview... I can't be the only one so puuuuhlease show me some love SoE!

Thanks.

Well the SOD afaik is only 3 parts.

We got 2 parts of it.... gah

LU34 should looks like this.

New raid (not group)zone in new tunaria... Thex Castle 3rd and final part of the SOD quest... take part in a long EPIC journey New LFG function New randomized loot rules..... class specific loot will only drop for classes that are present Coercer class hat

The hopeful LU34 inclusions EoF Class fabled sets have been reevaluted and changes made The long overdue skeletal models are done... Many new item appearances can now be made.

My personal idea how the new SOD quest should go.

X2 ring event in MMcastle followed by clearing Thex castle followed by clearing EH...... new event spawns 4 agents of mistmoore upon harvesting the "tree of growth" followed by clearing MMIS.....kill MM....... Get sword...... find out the foci from freeport has some other plans Go to some other zone kill the Foci from freeport Go to order of marr or agent of freeport, etc give sword get reward the END.

This requires 1 zone and 2 new encounters.

Just to clarify, the "When it's done" approach is still in action on the EQII team. Each monthly GU is packed with the content that is ready in time for that GU. If it isn't ready, it waits until the next one. So there is no rush to get things in ASAP. Gallenite leads on a quality principle. As to the number of artists... I actually don't know because I haven't counted them, but I'm in a gigantic room full of cubes and offices, and the vast majority of them are artists.

It was not until LU21 (and the producers letter that January) that they moved to 1 month(or slightly more) between updates, and its been 1 a month sence then.

Quality like releasing beta tested expansions full of the same bugs? Or quality like having to have major combat revamps twice and still have things imbalanced? You guys must have a different opinion of quality at SOE. Meh.

Hey man, people try to do good things and sometimes it does not work out as planned. You can enjoy the fly in your soup if you want... but I think this game has really come a long way and am proud to be able to point to the people who got it there and say "Yeah, I work with those folks."
