Hello everyone,

About a month ago I posted on this forum in regards to leveling in the 30's and your help has made our gaming experience wonderful. We have been in Nek Castle getting 10 levels and some really good equipment.

So now I am back and we are all 38-40 and looking for the next instance dungeon the best loot, xp, and good times.

Our group is a 40 zerker, 38 Conj, 38 Fury on PVP server.

Any ideas would be much appreciated

I'm not sure how trio-able the last mob is, but you could do well in the Vindiami the Ancient instance. There's a camp in Antonica where you purchase the key to the dungeon. The dungeon itself is located on that little island where the goblins respawn very fast (I hate Antonica, so I can't really do well with landmarks ). There are 2 quests for that zone, one of which rewards you with a very nice tradeable ring.

Another option would be the Overlord's Throneroom located in Runnyeye.

I don't think there's gonna be any big instances until you guys get a little deeper into your 40's, at which Deathfist Citadel would be an option (i think, ive been in there once in like a year and a half ). You might not be able to complete the entire zone, but there's plenty there to keep you busy.

Unfortunately, IMO at least, there are no other places like Nek Castle. Nek 2 is stupid hard, Nek 3 is 70ish, and the same goes for Unrest.

EQ2I has a listing of the major dungeons and instances.

My only quibble when looking over the list is that the Drafling Tower is an instance, not a "dungeon." The mobs are about level 40-45, so you're right about at the threshhold of being able to do it.

If you all 3 have the Bloodlines adventure pack that might be good. Everything in the "outer area" will be blue (level 32-36 mobs), but some mobs get up to 40 in the inner area. That might be good for you to do at your current levels, plus there's a series of 10 quests that you can work through in there, as well as 4 collection quests (bloodstones, grinnin bones, mushrooms, and vampire fangs) unique to the BC zones that once you've completed you can sell for decent cash too. Loot isn't all *that* great in there, but it's not bad for treasured either. And if you can get the Blood-Drenched Gi off the final named in the "outer area" then bruisers and monks will pay decently for that too.

Obelisk of Lost Souls isn't an instance, but it seems like people don't go there much even on PvE servers, so I'd imagine it'd be even less used on PvP. Just guessing there, though. Still. . . there's a lot of named in there that seem to like to drop decent legendary gear, and once you learn the "cycle" you can kinda run in a big circle, killing the wanderers in the hall for xp, then killing the nameds and ph's in the circle as you run it. Even some of the higher end shinies in there too (enchanted bones and glowing shards mostly). Mobs in the 1st part of the tower that you'd be doing that in are 40-42, so would be a decent challenge for you at current levels.

Good luck!

I suggest your group heads for Cazic Thule in the eastern part of Feerrott.

I was going to suggest Cazic Thule as well, those mobs start at 40 and go up to 50, mostly heroic and agro right inside the door.

Deathfist Citadel in Zek is also a good bet, mostly high 30s but you get the zone to yourself. Also, there's a few discovery points for your AA bar here, as well as a few quests. Make sure to find the clockwork lore book outside the entrance before you go inside. The downside is it's a public zone.

Also, the mobs in Kak'Anon, in Steamfont Mountains, if you have EoF, start at about 40, just watch out for the level 50 wanderers and you'll be fine. If you do have EoF, doing the quest lines at Steamfont will get you some nice AA exp and Klak has quite a few discovery points. there's some nice quests in here as well. This is a public zone as well, but there is a private instance inside klak, "Court of Innovation", which you will love when you get to 50.

instance in eof i suggest mines of meldrath in steamfont, (if its not too high.. cant remember the levels in there). klak anon maybe a bit crowed and too high for early 40`s.

obelisk is definately a good choice. you´ll need to make some access quests to get in the deepest depths of obi, but you´ll need the access anyway in later levels when you do the dragon language quest. obi i think is a must have zone on pvp.

played myself some time on a pvp server. got my equipment out of fg, nek and afterwards of obi. many named in there with masterchestloot =)

go and give varsoon a visit from time to time (lev 36 heroic named) with 2 named with awesome masterchestdropchances.

Aye, DFC is an instance. If you kill any named you have an 18 hour timer, though. I finished the zone with a 42 guard (me) 43 Mystic healing, and 3 dps. Last named can be tough, though I personally think the one before him is tougher, since if you pull the last named to the right spot and have the tank taunt like crazy and the dps go full burn he'll die in maybe 1.5 minutes. The one zone no one has mentioned that is imperative you try is runnyeye, which is located in northern EL. Awesome bunch of aa and good loot off the named in there. It can be crowded depending on the server, but the zone is awesome for leveling. Also, try Rivervale (eastern EL)There are quite a few good camps there that you can actually grind just for xp. There's a number of named but you'll want to be in the low to mid 40s before you try tackling those.
