LootDB and in-game item link search macro

Greetings fellow Norrathians, I'd like to use this opportunity and announce the launch of the LootDB, a yet another EQ2 Item database. At the moment the database appears have the biggest set of working item links and our contributors are doing their best to keep it up-to-date by removing the outdated links that aren't working anymore. We are also working on adding more features, and have screenshots for the most of the end-game items. There are lots of ideas and plans about enhancing the project, and we are trying to build up a contributing community. The website at the moment has a working item search engine and an item collector program that registered users (aka contributors) can use to scan their eq2 log files and submit the new item links while playing. Now to the tip part of my post <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> There is a way you can quickly search for an item and/or its link without alt-tabbing out of EQ2 and launching an external web browser. You just need to type the following /browser www.lootdb.com This will open up the eq2's internal web browser window and go to www.lootdb.com (kudos to SoE to doing the right thing(tm) and choosing mozilla engine). *BUMP* www.LootDB.com now offers extensive zone & mob loot table information as well. If you see something missing from a mob's loot table - register and contribute to the project by parsing your logs!

*UPDATE* You can now search for particular mobs and zones and check the associated items there.

*UPDATE* All items have now their screenshots. Still working on finding an universal way of calculating the heal/damage amounts for the effects descriptions.

*UPDATE* Item sets are properly displayed now. Most of the items have their complete effect description. Items got a color coded patch next to their names to reflect their tier. By the popular demand, item links have now a copy to clipboard button.

I was looking at your site the other day and I noticed there were a lot of ugly Google Adsense ads for buying gold, power leveling etc. Today those are gone, so I hope you got rid of them! *UPDATE* Advanced item search by their items is live. Currently only the main stats are searchable, but we are working on getting the rest in too.

*UPDATE* All the main character attributes except tradeskills are searchable now via the advanced item search. LootDB OpenSearch Plugin with realtime search suggestions is available now for the FF2 and IE7 users.
