Charactor stuck

<p>I amgoing to post this here in addition to the post I made in the technical area. I have a charactor I just started who is now stuck between 2columns. I am at the whatever of the Overlord, between the abilities trainer and the banker.. Its as if I am super glued to one spot. Able to turn 360 degrees, yet unable to move forward, backward sideways or jump. I cannot sit or lol even camp. I get the lovely message "you cannot camp here please try someplace else message". To add insult to injury, I dont have call yet because I wanted to bank before taking the boat to Freeport....  So there I am..  I look as if I am hovering..  And my arms outstreched. I can cast spells, and exit without camping.   There was once a post on these forums regarding this particular issue, had to do with houses and inns and such which gave a good fix to the problem, one that was very easy. But as luck would have it, I CANNOT for the life of me remember what it was.... I am not a fae so have no wings. If anyone can remember what the heck that solution was... and would be so kind as to remind me... A. I promise to write it down for future reference... B. Consider yourself hugged!  C... If you could hurry, Consider yourself double hugged. because my arms outstretched as they are.. are becoming very very heavy.... Thanks in advance</p>

<p>If you can find a helpful scout that is over level 25 that can evac you that will free you.</p><p>Either that or petition and hopefully some GM will quickly unstick you.</p>

Oh I wish I could but the problem is I'm at the outpost of the overlord which is the newbie starting point.  Level 25 cannot come here. Just tried to have a fellow player kill me lol in hopes I could just die and revive by the "know your fate" gal.. But of course the game would'nt let them do it.... Thoght it sounded good tho.. Sent an ingame bug report.. but I could be about 90 yrs. old before I get response to that request .. Thanks for the suggestion.. Hope to meet you someday... If I ever get out of my super glued state.

<p>D'oh!!! I missed the comment in your first post about being in the newbie bit (I blame the fact that its morning and I'm not very awake).</p><p>Normally the stuck character petitions are looked at fairly quickly I believe, though given the time you may be out of luck.</p><p>You could try attacking the guards that roam near there if you have any ranged spells and see if they will come and beat you up.</p>

<p>Another thing you can try is find someone who will hit a mob once and pull it into range where you can attack and take the agro, then let it kill you. I actually just did this for a friend the other week. He'd gone LD while standing on the alter in the priest room in Unrest. When he got back in game he was stuck INSIDE the alter, and nothing we tried would get him out. We hadn't killed all the yard trash, so I ran outside, hit a mob once, then pulled it back to where my friend could start hitting it.</p><p>Now I've got a couple of friends who keep calling me Dr. Kavorkian.  <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

LOL I tried the "guard attack rouse" but unfortunatly, they do not come near enough for me to even use a ranged shot. Its just my luck that I am in what would be considered a "safe area". i.e. no mobs, guards out of range and unable to kill the banker... If I didnt have bad luck I would have no luck at all...... Gonna log on and see if I am still hovering...  Maybe I can starve myself to death..  destroy food and drink...  Wonder if this is even possible..  I could always reroll but dang I like myself and my loot...  Thanks guys, at least I feel like I am learning the game in that I also tried your ideas which means lol I actually thought of them too.....  Woot

<p>You can try /quit which will force you out of the game without having the camp.  With luck when you return you won't be stuck any more.</p><p>As someone else suggested, if you can find someone else to pull a monster to you, it might kill you, then you'd be ok.</p><p>Maybe try pulling the "combat trainers" too?  They would be closer to you than the guards if you're where I think you are.</p><p>Try a <b>/who all guide</b> as well to see if any volunteer guides are around, if so, these guys can get you unstuck if you happen to catch one online.</p><p>Failing all that, submit a petition and then go play another character for a while - the GMs can still locate who you are even if you're on another character so hopefully they can assist you and you don't have to waste time just hanging there till they do.</p>

<p>Your best solution is probably to petition this.  Personally I've gotten stuck hovering between objects several times and always managed to wiggle free on my own after a while.  But then I'm just stubborn like that.</p>

I am happy to report that I threw out a shout all channels, whining and crying for some kind GM to come save my hovering self.  Voila within 2 minutes of my sniveling such a person appeared. Took out his magic wand, unglued my body from columns gave me a bow and poof vanished.. So I guess the answer and moral to this superglue saga is... If you should decide to shortcut thru the columns to the banker on the outpost of the overlord u may become forever stuck.. But if you whine loud enough, whine long enough and snivel over and over, you may be the lucky recipient of the "guardian angel... GM".  Gosh cant wait to start killing something......  Thanks guys.... oh and i did file a petition... lol answered the day after my unsticking...
