Please read this thread first. While your at it, check out this search on the subject, and read posts going back MORE THAN TWO YEARS. That being said, this is with a brand new ATI x1950xtx card, on a fresh, clean install of windows xp x64 (yes, i know, unsupported, but considering that this happens on xp and vista x86, well...) What you are looking at is a very simple test, where i can repeatedly produce this error. I'm intentionally playing at settings that would be taxing, and unsuitable for grouping, but that my computer can otherwise handle most of the time with some slowdown. I can go out into the commonlands, pick up a bunch of mobs, and just watch a few SECONDS until my shadows disappear. Sometimes they just drop on their own, otherwise it takes one or two aoes. GET THE VIDEO HERE I need, at the very least, a TSR to look at this video and tell me what might be "misconfigured" on my end, and why, exactly, this happens only in EQ2, not any of the other processor and GPU hungry games I play. Video is encoded w/ DIVX 6. (As a side note, changing from an 8800GTX to the X1950XTX was a massive improvement in performance, despite the technical downgrade)
