I was wondering what the best dps is for a 3 person group as a fae. I'm considering several classes ranger, illusionist, monk, wizard, and dirge. I'm looking at great DPS as well as how utility might help, such as illusionist mez, and dirge power regen. tank will probably be a shadowknight and healer will probably be a mystic. any ideas?

Rangers used to pump out massive damage, but I don't know anymore how they are. dirges are always nice as are troubadors due to the group utility they give, but in a 3 man group that might not be enough, but if your going to recruit more playes dirge becomes better and better. Wizard massive damage, but when they run out of power game over. illusionist, I think get power regen spell, thats nice...and mez is tasty...but dps I don't know about. I'd say ranger..off hand.

consider a swashie as well - good dps, group stealth etc

You will want dps, but also utility.

A shadowknight, and mystic do NOT have invis, evac, or port.

group invis = swash/ill

evac = swash/wiz

port = wiz

You will want good dps, and also be able to get full use out of them. To bad the healer is a mystic. fury would have been better

SK for Tank/self heal - FD Fury for heals/dps - port/invis Swash for dps - evac/invis/disarm/hate transfer

SK has evac also I think.

But you can be a truly well rounded group if you have the healer be a warden or fury.

Then you have everything you need to go anywhere when you want pretty much.

SK, Swash, Warden or SK, Wizard, Fury would be two good trio's.

Well since you said Fae I'm going to assume you want to stay in Qeynos. Zerker, Swashy, Warden

My Monk, Warden (melee spec), Swashbuckler trio is pretty much a juggernaut. We are all dps spec'ed.
yep the monk can beat the hell outa stuff. warden can keep everyone alive is the baddest of situations. And the swash can debuff and put out an [Removed for Content] kicking. Good trio

Ranger - Coercer - Conjuror = Fighter pet, Coercer hate xfer, Ranger = ranged dps with the others. Easy to play. Necromancer - Wizard - Illusionist = Mage pet /ranged, all casters, full burn while Illusionist stuns....volatile group...

I would be tempted to stick in an illusionist, because they really add a lot to the group, and are wanted in raids.

some of you mentioned using a swashbuckler as a tank. can they hold up against multiple ^^^ heroics? I'll be playing the role of primarily a dps class, and want to play a fae so my choices are limited, still not sure which way to go..but lots of food for thought here.
