Because a little bit of skin goes a long way toward bringing back the seckseh! <img src="http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/5251/shouldersom5.th.jpg" border="0"> (<a href="http://img110.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shouldersom5.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Full size</a>)

I would agree this would be a good thing to add as well as add just a little bit more individuality to the armor people wear.

I'd say to go as far as adding /hide commands for every armor piece except for the chest and legs.  This allows a degree of customization to character appearance, but keeping those two slots visible at all times keeps people at least semi-identifiable by their armor type.

Wow! I just sent a feedback on this there other day. I thought I started a thread but don't remember. I find that shoulder slot items have the worst graphics of any armor piece in the game. The cloth and leather pieces look like (apologies to the designers) they were slapped together by a couple kids playing dress up. I'm sorry have various sized cylinders for armor just looks bad. If you want us that an armband give it to us as just an armband. I'd rather show off my bare arms. (The knee pads on most armor are bad too.) It just feels like the designers had a directive... Cover every inch of skin. Well this is just dull. There are numerous cultures where arms and legs would have been visible.

This is actually a great and easily-implemented idea. Bravo!

I have to agree I would like the ability to show my hands on my iksar and troll especially heck froglok's have some interesting hand designs too, I mean we get all these choices on differant skin patterns and colors then after level 10 90% of that skin is covered up.

<p>This idea is really, really bad. </p><p>If you don't want to be seen wearing armor, then don't wear any armor. You'll probably die alot, but you won't care because you'll have a sexy looking corpse.</p>

<p>I think the large shoulderpads on females are hideous, unless you're a barbarian, troll, or ogre or something. Perhaps smaller on females? Hidden seems too much. </p><p>On the males though......... <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> The shoulderpads and heavy armor is sexy.</p>

I remember some LU's ago, Monks and  Furies looked very similar. Especially with the mastercrafter gear, you couldn't possibly see if it was a healer or a brawler. So, if you want more individuality I think you need another solution. Besides, plate class is the last of all classes to walkaround with bare shoulders.

I think this is a good idea, too---I sent some /feedback about this over a year ago.

In EQ1 there were many pieces that didn't have a graphic at all. In EQ2 we can hide capes and hats. In EQ2 several items overwrite the appearance of other items (Gi and plate armor legs). The shoulder armor in most armor sets are just plan bad looking (my apologies to the art department). Leather pieces look like you've stuck your arm in a tube. Basically they went overboard when a simple look would have been better. Not everyone in the world would be wearing long sleeves. As is (hopefully to be fixed in the model revamp) everything/everyone looks like they went to the local store and bought cookie cutter equipment. Full body plate armor was very rarely worn. More often than not armor was only partial. We are suppose to be brave adventures but we are afraid to walk to the bank unless we are covered from head to toe in armor? PS... I sometimes take my shoulder armor off... I don't die much.
