Hiya, I've noticed this but wanted to see if anyone else can confirm it. I currently wield a 2-handed blackscale because sitting in the back healing has become boring in groups or in the non-tank raid group. Anyway, when wielding this and fighting does anyone else see a visible cue from your toon that he/she is about to swing with their hammer? What I've noticed is that my character's toon tilts slightly to the right and about a second later he swings the hammer. Or am I just seeing things?

I haven't noticed any visual cues on the BSM as being any different than any of my other 2H weapons. The toon kinda rocks back, winds up, and SWINGS!!!!!!! Same for all. BSM only does it every 4 secdons or so though, so maybe you're just seeing the beginning of the animation more clearly since it comes after a longer period of "just standing there" than with a shorter delay weapon?

That's probably it. I see him tilt to the right then go back to his starting point then about a second later the toon swings and hits.

I'd say never look at animations, coming from a DW main, the swings are calculated even though half the time you don't 'see' them graphically.

as a fae betrayer, i never look - most times i am attacking though i seem to be just floating there (usually after a debuff or punishment triggers)

Another animation tweak seems to be a sexy little wriggle of the bottom before setting off on a carpet ride. I swear my girl never used to do it before starting forward! Like it tho...

Since I was talking about the Blackscale I throw this out there as well. Last night I was with a group and we decided to run through OOB and CoV. We hit OOB first and since there was a second healer that means one thing: melee time. So, after the run was over, the ACT parser showed I was averaging about 335 DPS during the run which isn't too bad I thought since I respecced for battle cleric just for grins. I then switched over to a two-handed staff I have (got it in Unrest, forget the name right now, looks like it has a burning christmas ornament on the top) for CoV and my DPS dipped to about 310 DPS. Still not too bad but if my assumption about the OOB and CoV zone being similar in difficulty is correct, the Blackscale does give a nice little bump in DPS despite the long delay often associated with it. I guess an even more accurate way to measure this would be to run through the OOB and CoV again but switch weapon layouts and compare. But that would require the exact same group types which would probably be difficult to arrange since it was a non-guild group.

Just a note, I have the Drumpy Tankard (sp?) from Unrest, fairly common drop. But my DPS with that averages about 350-450 on most kills. Not fully spec'd, a few EOF set armors and a few Blackscale pieces.

Might try a run with the BSM, but I think I would lose DPS on using it.
