Could Freeport and Qeynos banks join forces?

In this great era of globalization where we can send mail and items between Freeport and Qeynos I belive it is time for a unifed banking structure between these two great cities. -Concerned Citizen

Even more useful, we are allowed to transfer most items between characters of the same alignment. How about coin being placed in the bank being available to other characters. Other than PvP, what is the point of being able to put coin in the bank. I am fed up with having to buy stacks of tradeskill fuel to transfer money around. Karm/Obiadin Truewatch, Splitpaw server

No, no... not a worldwide banking monopoly. Prices would skyrocket. ATM fees would go from silver to gold. Safety deposit boxes would go from gold to platinum. Wages of bank employees would drop dramatically. We need competition!!
