What is up with Relic drops in KoS?

<p>Our guild has been trying for 2 weeks now to gear up our new recruits with relic... 2 Labs Runs, 2 DT and 1 Lyc and 5 pieces of Relic total.... and 2 of those were dropped in a master chest off a named.  So really, only 3 relic drops in all that time.  </p><p> Any other guilds noticing this recently or are we just having bad luck lately?  Cause this is seriously wrong.....</p><p>P.S.  FIX GRANDMASTERS NOXIOUS REMEDY!!!</p>

<p>Yeah, I've been wondering the same. If Sony is attempting to get people to raid EoF zones more, then we need the Relic gear to allow us to actually stand a chance in these new zones. If they are trying to prevent people from farming the gear like it had been in the past, then address it in the proper manner. Modify the zones to disable the re-pops, don't punish the entire server by limiting the gear that is essential to raid in the most recent expansion.</p><p>I'm truly curious what rationale went behind this decision and how it can be explained as a positive step??</p>

<p>YES and for the love of all that is holy, fix the Nox poisons. </p><p>I understand that things like this happen, but I have only one complaint. If it is a known issue, then put out some sort or announcement so that we can modify our raid schedule accordingly. We were livid the other night when we spent 3 hours clearing to Tarinax and only then discovered that the Nox potions which we needed to kill him were not working. </p><p>People are going to be a lot more upset if there is no announcement than if Sony were to just put out a brief statement explaining the issue and apologizing for the inconvenience.</p>

You are just having some bad luck. My guild will usually will see 3 relic drops a night in KoS zones. However, I would like to mention that most of the drops have all been relic chain and cloth and no relic plate. We must have seen relic cloth slippers drop 3 times in just the last week. In the end it goes back to the bursty random number generator EQ2 uses. You know the same RNG that will net you three super rare harvests in five minutes and then nothing for two hours.

<p>Something has to have changed in the past few weeks. We used to loot at least 3-5 relic drops a night in KoS zones. I have been raiding Labs since it came out and have never once seen a night where not one relic piece dropped. Well check that one off because we just cleared Labs 15 min ago and not one relic item was seen. </p><p>Common Sony...you're not leaving us with many options here.</p>

I think it's just really streaky.  We've had several runs in a row through Labs where we would get maybe 1 relic piece, and then other times, we've got ridiculous numbers.  It's annoying but I'd say it's just the random number generator streaking.  I've posted exactly the same question myself before now, convinced the drop rate had changed ... and then gone back and had 10 relic drops in a run.

<p>I don't raid all *that* much, but I've done Labs and Lyceum both this past week.  Nothing in Labs.  1 chain drop in Lyceum.  That was it. . . </p><p>Of course, the last Labs run I did before that (well over a month ago. . I know. . I'm a slacker on raid attendance. . ) we got something like 7 or 8 relic drops and every named seemed to be dropping its "rare" stuff.  Everyone was commenting that it was an amazing loot run that time.</p><p>So . . .I'm gonna have to go with the "it's just the RNG being streaky" answer too.</p>

We went through Lyceum on 3 april and had 1 relic drop (Lyceum never seems that great on relic drops so that's about normal).  Last labs raid was 30 March, haven't noted down what dropped but nobody noticed anything unusual.  Labs raid before that was March 23, got 5 relic drops.  It really seems variable and very streaky.

We did Lyceum and Labs yesterday, and we got a nice stash of relic I think. I don't really pay attention to what drops if I can't equip it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But we got our share at least, so it's prolly just the RNG having fun again.

My guild has been raiding Labs, Deathtoll, and Lyceum regularly for weeks.  Each raid usually coughs up about 3 pieces of relic gear.  However, in the last 2 months we have only seen 1 piece of relic silk.  All the rest has been mostly chain and a few plate.  Most of the chain pieces are the mantle piece.  Most of the plate seem to be sabatons or helms.   I am concerned that the other body parts are being neglected.   I am also concerned that cloth classes are being badly neglected.   Sure, there is great cloth stuff in EoF but there is a severe drought of silk relic drops in KoS.

<p>Did Labs last night, I believe we got 3 pieces of relic - 2 silk and one leather.  Also had a nice amount of leather armor, a plate BP, plate boots.  Inquisitor helm, Doomrage vambraces, some inq/sk item.  That raid was annoying as it was big on class specific drops for classes we didn't have along.  Vyemm dropped 2 BPs, I think the bard one and a hunter/rogue one.  </p><p>Usually, though, our raid force seems to get a disproportionate amount of silk to drop.  Our last HoS raid, almost every piece of armor, relic and other, was silk.  HoS has always leaned heavily to silk for us.  We haven't cleared the zone yet, though.  Still working on Venekor.</p><p>As a mystic, raiding three times a week for the last few months(Labs, HoS and Lyceum, usually), I have gotten precisely 5 pieces of armor.  Only one was relic, the boots.  Most of it (if not all) was from Labs.</p>

<p>It is that day of the week again hehe...</p><p>We do 2 to 4 KOS runs a week, every week. The drop rate is the same as usual. The last two weeks' drop rate have been unbelievably high even. </p>

the weekly "why are relic rates nerfed" thread, I love it. Up until January, the rates were heavily nerfed imo. Going from 5-6 drops a run every run for 6 months to 1-2 every run for 2? yea, there's no change there. If that's your idea of random, remind me to /roll against you in the next raid for fabled gear. This has been an ongoing (and as usual ignored) topic since last fall, just like the MOA mark some of us would like back. Sony makes no comment, and just ignores us.

<p>The SSS (Secret Society of Sony) decided it was time to ninja nerf relic drop rates after over a year.</p><p>It took time for their evil plot to build to its crescendo.  Allowing unsusepecting victims to reap the relic rewards raid after easy raid until they finally decided to put in new set armor in EOF.</p><p>Once the new set armor was in for a few months and people sought this more then relic, they decided to pull the relic rug out from under our feets!</p><p> Ph33r the SSS!</p><p>Or its just random.</p>

Last lab run on Tue... 2 leather and 1 plate relic Last DT run 1.5 weeks ago we had 3 chain BP drop within 6 mobs of each other. RNG hates you. <p>I was wondering this myself. We cleared HoS yesterday and got some decent drops, but not one single relic piece. Also, in the last 3 months in HoS, DT, and Labs I have seen a ton of relic cloth- mostly robes and slippers, and some chain arms. Not one plate relic drop. I have toons that wear all of the above, but it never seems to drop the one I need for the toon that is on the raid. Just bad luck I guess.</p>

<p>Did Labs 7 days ago and there were 5 relic silk drops off of trash mobs, no chain, leather, or plate relic drops. 3 inq/sk plate drops also.</p>
