chest peice for troubador

<p>Aside - So long as this discussion stays on topic - which chestpiece to wear - i will be happy.  Please no of the "it does not matter cause troubies suck...."  cause i am tired of reading that.</p><p>Now on topic:  Nightchord tunic vs tunic of shadowed songs.  Which is better to wear in any situation?  I recently aquired both, and they each have pros and cons.  To me it looks like if i am soloing the tunic of shadowed songs might be better for the chance damage shield.  But the nightchord seems to have better overall stats + mit (down side to nightchord is 0 int, which makes this tough as well)</p><p>Please see and let me know your thoughts.  Resists to the side - if i ever needed a specific resist i would just swap out for that.  Not needing resists, which do you feel if the overall better wear.</p><p><img src="http://users.rcn.com/chrisshelly/images/shadowedsongs.jpg" border="0"> vs <img src="http://users.rcn.com/chrisshelly/images/nightchord.jpg" border="0"></p>

<p>Im wearing the ngihtchord for the stats and looks . 30 Int and damage shield is decent too , but personally im sticking to nightchord .Have enough int from other gear so the STR from nightchord and other stats do me good .</p><p>If you can get your hands on a relic top . get it . one of the best chest itmes there is for troubys  IMO .</p>

I normally wear the troubador fluff chest piece: "Talvus linked Tunic" for its graphic or lack thereof. When I need the extra mit and resists I switch it out for relic.

<p>I'd go with the shadowed song if you need int, or you are getting hit a lot (for the proc.) </p><p>Otherwise (like every one else) I'd take the Nightchord. (I have the Shadowed Song.)</p>

For soloing, tankless small groups, I'd go with the Shadowed Song.  For standard groups and raids probably the nightchord.  If you ar raiding, keep an eye out for the relic resounding bp--it has steal essence modifier and INT.  The rare but fun T6 BP from the godking is also a nice one for its flowing thought and iirc INT.

Yeah, I'm bumping an old thread...but has anyone else noticed the Tunic of Shadowed Songs randomly proc'ing when mobs are NOT engaged? Many many times mine will proc thru the MT and aggro any mob they currently have targeted, whether or not that mob is currently engaged.

If you're soloing, think twice about the shadowed song - it likes to pull you into combat while you're trying to mez. mine wound up getting destroyed over this, was a very sad day for mr. tunic.

I wear the tunic because I cant find anything better without raiding. Shame it has such a poor graphic <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I love the graphic on the tunic, it's way better that even the Fascination chest piece.
