Half the time when you send your illusionist pet vs an epic it does nothing. (when in /pet ranged mode) It just sorta sands there, weapon out, doing jack. Sent in multiple feedbacks and it's been ignored. Please fix it.

We had a few other illusionists, so buffs were all covered. Had free conc slots, took him out, an dhe did nothing. At all.

Raiding? Bards, Enchanters, Mages, Druids these all do more dps from synergism that the stupid pet, not even counting hast on every meleer in the group.

You had him in /pet ranged mode, so all he's going to do is cast. Epics gain resistances to crowd controls at best, and are immune to most others... which is what your pet will try and do.

Do you see no yellow damage going on above the epic's head? Are you getting "you send your pet in to attack" or "your pet cannot attack this target" type message?

Very important question: If all you are going by is what the pet is physically looking like (animations), and you are on a raid, did you actually turn down your graphics for the raid so maybe that's why you won't see this pet (an NPC) doing animations like casting?

If he's set to /pet melee, does he run in and attack? Are you using a parsing program like ACT, can you see what damage your pet is actually doing.. not just what you think is happening by glancing at him and buggy graphics?

I remember a time when necro Rotting Thrall pets (highest fighter tank pet back in the lvl 50 cap days) wouldn't animate... at all. So he was doing damage, taunting, etc... but animation-wise he'd just be sitting there. It's possible this is happening with your pet now too, maybe he's actually doing stuff but just not animating it (even with animations turned up). Maybe it's a problem with large targets, etc.. who knows.

Basically, what I'm saying is you may want to be a bit more specific in what you've done to make sure he's not doing anything. Right now all you are saying is "he's not doing anything" with no explanation as to how you've come to this conclusion.

Maybe he knows the exact things you point out but perhaps it was a fun raid, nothing important, maybe an alt raid and he just felt like having some fun with the pet. My point is, you don't know any of the reasons why he used a pet so just keet it to yourself, especially if you're going to use that "holier than thou" attitude. The guy has noticed what he thinks is a problem with pets not attacking epics, so why don't you just go ahead and answer that question or leave. No one cares about your feelings on how others should play. In answer to the OP, I've noticed the pet doing this when soloing or grouping, but only a handful of times. Usually the pet is fine on the next encounter, she just seems to get stuck now and again, no matter how many times I send her into attack. I usually just shrug it off, but if it's happening to you more often than not it's obviously a big problem. Kaisoku 's suggestion about your graphics setting is an important point that you should probably check first though.

You probably had some z-axis or dumb crap going on that made the pet not attack. Just keep on spamming pet attack and one time it'll start attacking, however the pet attacks just fine for me when I rarely use it.
