I"m taking a break from wow and i'm interested in the following type of char 1. Highly recruited for groups 2. Ability to solo easily 3. i don't care if it's a caster or not, but I do like casters Any help would be greatly appreciated by me thank you

I've yet to find a class that can't solo decently. But, obviously some are better than others. The class that fits your criteria the most would probably be fury. Wanted in groups for healing, pretty solid soloer and a caster/healer hybred.

Fury depend on the server really. Since there is so many druids out there already. I would consider one of the enchanters. My illusionist haven't got turned down yet, and is very good solo'er. And I wouldn't have any second thought of inviting a enchanter to the group.

I'd recommend the illusionist/coercer for you as well. The teleporting ability of the Fury/Warden are quite a temptation though. edit: Illusionist gets invisibility, I don't think Fury does. Invis makes soloing a heck of a lot easier and less frustrating.

Fury does get group invis in their late 30s, while illusionists gets that in the late 10s.

While Fury can solo quite well, they fall down in the "heavily recruited for groups" part. I think the plate healers would be at the top of the list for that. But they cannot solo near as well. Fury is a popular class, which also means that you are competing a lot for groups with other Furies.

Plate tanks are always in demand from what I see - but so is dps.

Fact is, it is hard to go really wrong on a class - so play what YOU like, not what someone else likes or what is popular at the moment.

I am surprised no one has mentioned a summoner (Necromancer (evil) Conjurer (good)) Summoner is a great class that can solo well and also has tons of utility for grouping: 1) Hearts/Shards for power regen 2) Some healing ability 3) Revive (Necro) 4) Feign Death (Necro) 5) Call of the Hero (conjurer) allows you to summon a groupmate to you anywhere in the zone 6) Single target invis 7) Awesome DPS with less chance of ripping aggro since it is split between you and your pet You will have no trouble getting groups as a summoner but will also have no problem soloing with it should you choose to do so. ~ I play a Necro and am not completely aware of Conjurers spells/abilities but im sure i missed some~
