<p>OK, so I was wondering how much more status we would need to reach GL 60 and decided to look at what other GL 59-60 guilds had on the EQ2 Players site. Imagine my surprise when I find out that at GL 56, we have over  one milion MORE status points than many of the GL 60 guilds that I saw, some of which were of similar size.</p><p>So, does anyone know what goes into determining guild level since it is apparently not just the total amount of status...</p>

Imagine my surprise when I find out that at GL 56, we have over  one milion MORE status points than many of the GL 60 guilds that I saw, some of which were of similar size.</p><p>So, does anyone know what goes into determining guild level since it is apparently not just the total amount of status...</p></blockquote><p> The reason you're seeing the difference is probably due to the fact that guild experience has been gained in various ways in the past...and only recently was it changed to be 10% of the status points you gain personally going towards guild experience.  There used to be all sorts of formulas involved - based on the number of unique accounts in the guild, the number of patrons (which don't exist anymore), etc.  Now it's just the flat 10% figure.</p><p>Probably the best way to figure out how much exp you need is to get several of the guild status loot items (i.e. amulets, documents, scrying stones, relics) and turn in, say, 10 at a time and see how much your guild exp moves based upon the amount of status it receives (when you sell the items to one of the writ-givers, you will get a message like "You earned 6000 status!  Your guild earned 600 status!"  If you have the guild window open when you sell, you can see how much the experience bar moves as you sell your items.</p>

Imagine my surprise when I find out that at GL 56, we have over  one milion MORE status points than many of the GL 60 guilds that I saw, some of which were of similar size.</p><p>So, does anyone know what goes into determining guild level since it is apparently not just the total amount of status...</p></blockquote><p>  If your player base has remained the same, then all accumulated status is accounted for.  A level 60 guild has probably had people contribute status and leave, so those contributions aren't reflected in their total.</p><p>  As far as how much status it takes to make a level 60 guild, I think I have a good idea of what it takes.  My guild is getting close to 56, but nobody has ever left and I pay close attention to the work that went into each level.  </p><p>To get to level 30 was 1.7 million guild status</p><p>To get to level 50 was 3.8 million total guild status</p><p>50-51 I think was an easy level, on par with the 41-50 levels, only 100k guild status</p><p>to get 52 and beyond it gets really hard, looks like ~550k per level.</p><p>  So at 52nd level, you are less than half way to 60!  It looks like the total accumulation needed for 60 is around 8.3 million guild status, or 83 million personal.  Numbers may be a bit off if any work was done while idling at level 50 before cap was raised to 60, or if significant amounts of contributors have left.</p><p>  Last note, I have no idea if getting to 50 was made harder with the changes brought by EoF. </p>
