<p>Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.</p><p> <verify> D:\liveeq2frameworkcoredevicessrcDirectx9RenderDev ice.cpp (1013):</p><p>Failed to create D3D device for SAPPHIRE RDEON 9600 ATLANTIS.</p><p>Not sure what this error means, but now I can't open EQ2.</p><p>Could it possibly be that my game was at 1280/1024 monitor resolution before and I took my PC to a friends house and it's hooked to his tv which only goes to 1024/768? If not then, what do I need to do? Re-Install Graphics Drivers?</p>

I got the same message, only diffrent is the gfx card (i have GeForce 6600 GT)

Getting the same error on a Geforce 8800 320meg, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2Gb system. I have just installed the latest Nvidia drivers - wonder if it is related?

same from my geforce go 7600 I remember a thread on this somewhere... I know that rebooting lets you get back on though, so just reboot and you should be able to get back on until the problem arises again.

<p>Getting the same problem also have updated gfx drivers and directx and still same running with a GF6600 LE problem has only just started to happen anyone got any answers yet or a fix maybe.</p><p>Just a note this only has started happening since i started to play VSOH so im wondering if that could be a problem does any1 else with prob play VSOH.</p>

<p>I reinstalled EQII (up to Desert of Flames expansion) and I get the same error you all to to get. Only different card name 'cause mine is a 6800 GT.</p><p>Note: I do too (not for long anymorethough!) have  Vanguard installed.</p><p>The other difference is that I have a new monitor: Samsung Sync Master 940BF</p>
