Developers please give us the ability to hide or filter all chat messages that derive from any macro. I am sick of being spammed every time one of my group members uses an ability, but at the same time I don't like having them all on ignore. I need the ability to either filter or hide all this spoon.

After a while, I realized that it was really irritating people, so I toned it down and only kept important ones, like announcing an evac to the zoneline, or a complete heal. If the folks are friends or guildies, you might try politely suggesting that maybe they don't need to announce some things (and, of course, they'll get irate about you telling them 'how to play their class'<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</p><p>Or you can try making a separate window for group chat and making it a tiny font, or hiding it behind another window (as a tab).</p>
