My Fury is the #2 healer in our group and I focus on magic attacks and healing as a backup.

I recently found armor that has less defense, but more boosts to intelligence and other features.

At times, I can solo....

Should I switch to the new armor, or should I not and keep the better defense?

Opinions? And yes, I do use a one-handed with a shield.

I guess it depends on what you actually do. Since you didn't really describe your playstyle, I'll make a guess that, because you said you're the #2 healer in your group... that you aren't a soloer.... and... guessing that you aren't primarily a raider.... (and even if you are... this advice would be suitable) so I would say ditch the defense and take the int boost.

Int will help your nukes do more damage. Defense... well.. may help you avoid an attack, but unless you're soloing, you shouldnt be taking damage. Granted, there will be times you will, but the chances of a little bit of defense actually helping in those few times is slim. If you're a 2nd healer in a group, since most stuff can really be healed by 1 healer.... I would imagine you're essentially there to help with healing just in case a little extra is needed on a hard named... or a huge pull.... which... would also tell me that... unless you're maxing your DPS, you're wasting a lot of you're ability. Getting as much int as you can possibly get will max out your dps, since, again... my guess from what you've said is that you're probably DPS first and healer 2nd. (Now, if you start raiding, you may change your priorities a little.... but always take int over something like defense)
