New to the Ranger

Hello, I'm new to the Ranger but not to EQ2, i was wondering what people thought of what to hold?? Do people hold one sword and a shield or a 2 handed weapon or 2 X 1 handed weapons What do other rangers use and what experiences you have had with the different combinations Thanks

Well we can only do sword/board, 2 DWs, or 1 hander (empty off hand). For soloing some people use the sword/board for better survivability. However, in groups, you should go DW as you will do more damage and taking damage is not usually a problem. However, with that said, there are some times when you might want to use sword and board exclusively. Say, for instance, you had a 1 hander and a shield that proc'd off range. That would be an occasion to use sword/board all the time.
