Hello everyone, I have just returned to EverQuest II after an eight month break. I've only suscribed for a month, as I'm still not sure if I want to stay with EQ II. I'm currently playing Vanguard: Saga of Heros - Which I do indeed very much....I do miss EverQuest, so I came back!

Anyways, I have five hours left on my download. Already downloaded 17 hours of it from the Trial of Isle last night. Question is, I need a suggestion on what class / race to play. I know alot of people have asked this, just bare with me. Here is a list to help you help me out.

Likes:

Melee with a blend of spells

Doing alot of DPS

Scout classes

Dislikes:

PvP ( Yeah, I'm a bit of a carebear )

Healing

Not so much tanking

Casters

I'm most likely to play a Kura or Iksar as for race, as I already have a level 27 Wood Elf Ranger / 32 carpenter. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm guessing you mean Kerra... anyways, race has VERY little influence when it comes to end game and how you preform, it has a slight impact on you untill your around 10-20, but after that the few points of stats have next to no effect. So just pick a race you want and play that. Only one thing, if you want to make for example a high-elf assassin you'd have to start of as a high-elf ranger and then betray as good races cant be evil classes from the start, but that's another matter.

From your spesifications I would suggest the following classes:

Assassin (scout, great dps, alot of combat arts (spells), and mainly melee damage, has to be evil tho, but both the races you perfer can be this class).

Brigand (scout, high dps, alot of combat arts (spells), mainly melee damage, also has to be evil, mostly plays the same roll as the assassin, but in a diffrent way )

Swashbuclker (scout, high dps, alot of combat arts, mainly melee damage, good version of the brigand)

Bruiser (fighter, semi high dps, alot of combat arts, mainly melee damage, this is a fighter that alot of people consider "dps" but they can some times be called on to tank, theyr great for soloing or small groups as they can fill both the dps and the tank rolls).

Monk (fighter, decent dps, alot of combat arts, mainly melee damage, this is the good version of the bruiser, most of the same things aply here, the monks are slightly more defensive than the bruisers.)
