need help, returning player

alright so i got disenchanted with WoW and decided to come back to good old EQII. the problem is that when i installed everything and hit play my computer restarted saying there was a serious error. i tried updating drivers, direct x, and still nothing. So far SOe tech support has been no help and now it's the weekend so cant contact em, anyone had this problem and knows what i can do? thank you!

<p>Hm ... well my first guesses would have been the drivers but sounds as if you're checked that, so unless the error messages say something revealing I am not sure.</p><p>You might try visiting the <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/forums/show.m?forum_id=4" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Technical Support forum </a>and posting your information there (there's a sticky thread at the top that tells you what you need to post), one of the technical gurus may be able to assist better.</p>

Without knowing what the error message was, there is really not much anyone here can tell you.

Had the same problem.  I posted about it in the tech forum.  Turned out to be my sound card driver needed updating.
