T7 Vampiric Proc vs. +10 dps mod

Please comment on which you feel is better, from a purely raiding standpoint. I'm not cared about healing myself at all, cause honestly I'm selfish and care only about dps. Let the healers heal me, I'm sure it makes them happy by giving them something to do.

I'd go with the numbers. 10 DPS mod will raise your total DPS by ~5% assuming your current DPS mod is zero. If your DPS mod is at 100, the 10 DPS mod is insignificant. Most of us fall somewhere between 0 and 100.

Is the t7 one a dropped recipe tho? Only one i've found so far was the t6 one for sale in Steamfont.

I went with the DPS mod. Since I rarely sit at 200 DPS, I feel thats going to be the better deal.

If I solo'd i'd use the vamparic with the bow from HQ which has the stun effect, the combo of them would be ideal. Raid wise though I go with the bow, though once you get over 125 dps mod the dimishing returns really kick in.

OK a little off topic but the question arises which is better Grizzlefoshizzle with DPS mod or Raincaller with no mod Any takers?

From my point of view the proc is better - got solo 18 dps mod with ivy shrouded earring and neck adornment. In fight most of the time i got the 15 from my cloak of valor and i hope soon the 25 from buckler of the howler (yes, it procs off ranged). Most of the time i have inqui in my grp so my dps mod is around 90. Add a dirge sometimes or a coercer... So 10 more dps mod wouldnt make lot of difference at that number.

I'll probably go for the proc, even though its against my initial instinct to go for the dps mod. The risk of being in a good group with +dps mods that may make the adornment less effective is too great to not go with the consistant proc, which has a decent proc rate and can only improve with group buffs that bring up trigger chance even more. But I am still undecided as I havent seen any of em yet on our server...I'll probably just take the first one I find, and based on how it goes stick whatever will be the better of the 2 on the Rigid Scale if/when I get one (unless they ever upgrade the Star Darkened with a raid-useful effect ) I'm also still missing a few pieces of DPS adding gear I'd like to pick up (Buckler of the Howler, and maybe a few others) so the adorn on the bow could help tide me over till I get more self buffed dps...Decisions FTL

I bought a +DPS one yesterday, on the basis that it's rare I get a Coercer in my group on raids. Therefore my DPS mod is no way at the top of the diminishing returns curve, so I'll get the full benefit out of it.

Once you have the 10 off that, the 10 off the MoA piece, Shadow Strider Boots for 6 (or 8, can't remember the exact figure), Earring of Tunare for another 6 or 8 and Marr's Cloak proc, you have yourself a respectable self buffed DPS mod. Combine that with our own natural haste and things look pretty nice. Then of course when we do have the second Coercer online, I get Impetus taking me to about where the curve flattens out. Marvellous.

Thanks

In response to the question of Grizz vs. Raincaller. Id put the DPS mod on Grizz and use it for offensive groups use and use the raincaller for solo. Buaf 70 Ranger Befallen

(before you ask; no they don't stack, cause its the same buff/proc - Savagery II)
