Hi everyone, My new computer came with Vista and I'd like to intall XP: Home Edition on it, however, the number of choices up are vast, and its confusing to me. This one stood out, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16837102092 Will that get the job done? I was expecting to spend a lot more then 100ish dollars, so it seems kind of fishy to me. Also, whats with this "OEM" stuff? Thank you for your time.

"OEM" means that you'll get the install CD, the "genuine Microsoft product" certificate, and the product key. That's about it. No packaging, no support, no warranty.

Alright, thanks again for the help Jason. So If I purchase the Windows XP I linked, I should be able to install it on my CPU no problem?

You need to research to make sure that there are XP drivers available for the hardware that you have installed and realize, that if this is a new machine, you may have issues obtaining support fromt he company you pruchased it from. You might want to call them and see if you can purchase a recover cd for your machine with XP on it
