Failed to init Arial-some fonts may require a reboot to load

I get this error (followed by a crash to desktop) after clicking Play on the launchpad.  Not seeing anything about this in the knowledgebase or on forums.  Any help would be great. XP Prof Radeon 9700/128M 1G RAM DirectX 9c New install and update of EQ2.

Some "Office" applications can corrupt the Arial font.
