title says it all, which one is best for a raid wizard? i'm -really- leaning towards: Unrest > Ro > Zet but have no physical proof to back it up thoughts?

Unrest is higher proc rate though isnt it?

But the proc is only 12 seconds /shrug Gonna eyeball to see when if finally procs to cast IN, Fusion or MB?

Just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Cloak of Unrest procs 1,8 times per minute for 30 seconds with 10% reuse reduction, can't beat that...

Firstly I think he meant cloak of the burning prince not cloak of flames.. however..

The comparison is pretty complicated and certainly theres alot more to it than 'Unrest is just a Zet cloak with Stats'... aside from the fact that the cloak of zet does have stats .. 10int and 12int/wis on unrest.

Firstly Cloak of the Burning prince has no effect on: inferno surge, surging tempest, protoferno, forge of ro, frigid gift, ice shield also it scales _horribly_ with aoe's - fusion picks up +22 from memory and fiery inferno even worse at +8 or something per target.. I dont think all this can be outright ignored when considering +spell dmg items/adorns.

Secondly Cloak of Zet is a 3% chance to proc on a successful _hostile_ spell. That works out to about 0.6x per minute against a single target for 10% _cast_ haste. However since it is a 'hostile spell' type item it wont proc when casting iceshield, forge of ro, frigid gift, catalyst, inferno surge or when pumping power. Even when chain casting without any power problems your average wiz might spend up to 15% of the time not actually casting a directly hostile spell that will actually proc anything. So .. like all hostile spell procs.. they usually proc less than their stated amount against a single target, even with the agi line. However when aoe'ing against say 5 targets each aoe will have 5x the chance to proc the zet cloak (one chance per target).

Cloak of unrest is nothing like the cloak of zet. For starters it is 10% recast haste, not cast haste. Also it is 1.8x per minute not 0.6x. And importantly it is not a hostile only spell proc. That is, it is a 'when target casts a spell' type proc. This cloak procs on everything.. not just hostile spells.. iceshield, forge of ro, pumping power, CoQ and evac, buffing and summoning pets, entertainment spells, activateable items and potions heck it even procs when summoning your horse =D.

Not that most of these spells are of use.. but I'm just pointing out that it is a quite different type of proc. Also I'm fairly sure that unfortunately when aoe'ing these type of procs do not have a chance to go off per target, its simply the cast time that determines its proc%. Another thing to note is that this cloak does not effect the recast of the spell that procc'ed it. So if you cast manaburn for example and it procs the cloak the recast time will read 4.26 (i think thats the usual agi line recast) rather than 4.05 which you would have got if you manaburned while the buff was actually active.

I just thought I'd clarify some things before someone comes along and does some calculations etc..

Just to make clear, Casting Speed vs. Reuse

Ok say your casting is like 100% faster somehow. Ball of Lava, Ice Comet, Incapacitate, ect... OH now your all out of your big nukes and all you have is your crappy sunstrike or w/e it is called. Now you need to wait a while for your big nukes to come losing precious dps time.

Ok now say you happen to have 100% recast reducer. Ball of Lava, Ice Comet, Incapacitate, ect...Hey what do you know, my Ice Comet is back up so fast. Now i dont have to wait to cast my big nukes.

In other words. Cloak of Zet is crap compared to Cloak of Unrest.

***the cloaks dont really take out 100%, that was just an example

Thats not recast vs. reuse, thats casting speed/time vs. reuse.

Oh whoops sorry yeah it should be casting speed vs. recast

I guess i was thinking more along the lines of longer battes not short ones like trash mobs or grouping. I guess the Cloak of Zet can be useful in many situations.
