Hi everyone, my system only has 1gb ram currently and I'm looking to upgrade it a bit. However, I'm not sure which ram I should purchase? All my searching has yielded them as DDR2, but thats it. I just purchased the system 2 weeks ago, if that matters any. If you need my DxDiag just let me know I'm not looking to buy top of the line, or the cheapest ram possible, but something in between. Thank you.

From what I can tell, your system has an nVidia 680i chipset. Here's a review/report on what that means: http://techreport.com/reviews/2006q...0i/index.x?pg=1 Apparently, DDR2-800 should work. Your local computer retailer (Fry's, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) will know what that means.

Yes it is a 680i SLI. So some RAM like this should get the job done? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16820231099 Any suggested brand? Buying RAM is all new to me hehe, never knew how complex it is. I greatly appreciate the response.

G.Skill is one of the few brands that require special voltages. Make sure you follow the steps on the memory and motherboard manufacturers' web sites for proper operation.
