First, scroll down a few pages, there are a ton of posts on this. Read any thread that has AA in the title, read them all, as some of them have some slightly off topic posts that are actually quite good. For example, some ask about raid AA specs, but some of the answers may apply to other aspects of the game.

Next you need to state what type of server you are on PVP or PVE. And although respec'g is easier now, so you can change more cheaply (if you wait a bit) it's also important to know if you group/solo/raid mostly.

I suppose i was not specific enough, I apologize. I mostly group and solo. I have looked at a lot of posts but most I have I found seem to be centered around raiding, which at level 10 I am probably a ways from. Just looking for some advice from those in the know.

Depends on what you want to do. If you charm a lot, then at level 10, I would start with EOF AA, putting 5 AA into Charm. Then start on KOS AA, putting it into agility to maximize DPS, until I have enough AA to respec to wisdom increasing subjugation (helps with reducing resists for mez, charm, stun, etc).

I started off doing a lot of charming and soloing with the occassional group (before lvl 35). I put 5 points into charm to start off with, then went straight down the wisdom line to max out subjugation. I think it worked out pretty well.

Coercers need charm for solo or small groups and since most people tend to play solo or in small groups for early levels, putting points into charm is really a good idea. The only damage I normally take is spell damage. Increasing WIS will help increase your resist. The real greatness of the WIS line is the increase to Sub and focus. Our class defining skills are subjugation based so this should be a obvious choice. Increasing this will make your life much easier. After that it getts tricky and you have to look more at your play style. I fount myself putting many points into maxing out my power regen spells. Regen is one great thing we bring to groups and even if I could get by solo without spec'ing this way, I would not be bringing as much to the groups I am part of without it.

the ability at the end of the wis line, Hypnotize, is killer as a pulling spell. As long as it doesnt get resisted.

Yeah, 5 points in the Charm AA would do wonders in the early levels.

Solo-wise... more DPS isn't going to be what makes you win, so much as landing all your spells. So definately getting the Wisdom line's +subj bonuses would help in solo AND group play. Resists are nice too.

If you aren't planning on raiding yet (obviously, since you are in the lvl 10 range), then the Stamina line benefits are only very minimal.

After Wisdome line (or even before if you are so inclined) you should get the Agi line right down to Perpetuality. This gives two benefits, both in getting more DPS in (especially once you get items that proc on spell cast), but also helps you in that you can get that mez or stun or root casted in lightning speed.

While the Int line gives nice damage increases... the Agi line make you play the class in a completely different way.. and being able to respond to situations nearly instantly comes in incredibly handy.

For my raid Coerc:

EOF lines focused solely on power regen / mana cloak / channel with the rest in various buff areas for groups. Oh, and Coercive Healing is absolute must for raiding/groups.

KOS:

WIS 4-4-4-8 (Max Subj needed for charming/stunning/mem wiping raid targets)

STA 4-4-8-8

Still missing 5 AA points in this tree, not sure where they will go just yet.

I got some odrination gear Treashstuff only, but with me whole +8 ( lol ) memwipe in labs looks a bit better.
