EQ is now installed and patching!

Hey guys is me again my EQ2 is now installed and patching but it says its going to take around hours to complete!!!  Anyone know if there are any external sites or FTP sites where I can download the necessary patches? I have quite a meat connection (10mb) and downloaded over a gig earlier in about 20 minutes. Lastly My character which I had when I got the game at release is still alive!!! I'ts a level  15 Dark Elf Summoner! and on the runnyeye server! Anyone tell me whether this server is any good or not ??? Also anyone whos looking to recruit a newb like myself please reply to this thread or send me a PM!   I hope to but the EOF retail box tomorrow so i should be then all up to date! I have a ventrilo server which can be used for voice chat! I look forward to hearing from some of you soon!!

The only place to get the patches are from the patcher, sorry.  The good news is that the time-estimater frequently seems way off base.

Get comfortable again with the interface. Watch the Level and Class chat channels for people around your level looking to group for experience and quests. Friends and people to play with come naturally in this game. There's no need to reserve them seats before you've even logged in. XD

Ya your level 15 summoner has changed substantially. Your going to be prompted to create a new class with it. You can make ANY class as long as it's evil (dark elf I think you said). They did this to be more class specific on abilities and mastering the chosen class. So no more leveling to 20 and choosing a class. You choose them from level 1 now.
