The only time there have ever been compensation for downtime was when it lasted over a day, and a lot of times its just double xp for a day.

AB is always first down and last up. I guess since it's an RP server it's lowest priority. Honestly it's one of the laggier ones too.

I have this image of the AB server in the corner, away from the secured others, being used to prop up the coffee maker and a tray of donuts. All the random crashes we get are when someone spilled coffee. >.>

I assume its back up and running by now. But anyone know if there was/is an official explanation as to what happened. I'm not calling for anything like compensation as that would be silly, but an explanation as to what went wrong would be good. A good standard customer service is all that is required for me. In my experience in the IT support industry people are fairly ok with system downtimes as long as they are not kept in the dark.

There are a few other things to consider. First this wasn't even a game wide problem, it is one server out of all of them, you still had access to them if you choose too, plus test too. So you were not without any service, you may have been without the one you wanted, but since others were available your payment is still for something, weither you choose to use it or not. And we are not talking days we are talking hours, and it was part of a planned upgrade, it just took longer, which means its something you agreed to accept when you signed up. Now if it was a downtime of a few days where servers crashed and took a long time to get back, then ya I would hope they would give something as a discount on the month's fee or something. It would for example be something like asking a partial refund for staying at a hotel because the workout room was closed for half a day.

I'm terribly not sorry if it isn't suitable to you, but there's probably no way to make it suitable.

>.> If I mailed 12 pennies to you, would you be happy? >.> For all you know, some hardware blew up, or something... Maybe it takes longer to patch AB Maybe AB is hated or maybe coffee was spilled on it, skalding the server hampster, causing a system failure. Things happen.
