Warlocks?

<p>Hi guys,</p><p>Not trying to stir anything up, just curious. A buddy of mine is in a higher raiding guild than myself and I noticed that his guild didn't have any warlocks. So I asked him why and his reply was that his guild wants to improve there raid dps so they don't want a warlock since they can't mana dump on single named like wiz's and necro's can. He told me that warlocks quicken yard trash but when it comes to real fighting on single raid mobs, warlocks don't cut the mustard. Have any of you heard of this sentiment on other servers?</p><p>Jbeauxx</p>

<p>Agrees with the previous writers...  Never heard sucha crap... as always it comes down on to who is behind the keyboard.. yes there are crappy warlocks out there.. as well as crappy wizards, templars, guardians or assians... </p><p>Warlocks have great dps.. group encounters as well as singel ones.. anyone saying anything else have only runed in to the crappy kind..</p>

its a pretty narrow minded view on warlocks considering every high end guild on my server (najena)...least that i can think of and checked has a warlock in guild.  They my not have such ubah single target dps, But warlock aoes are amazing and help things go by sooo much faster.

Dang...I'm so curious as to how well I'd do as a warlock in raids, that I'm tempted to lvl my warlock up JUST to find out.  Anyone here who raids with both, perchance?

<p>warlocks bring more to a group than just solo dps on a name mob. They increase dps of casters in the group and also pass power to the group for long fights.</p><p>Why u post in here about warlocks? wer wizs</p>

Strike, a TOP end raiding guild that specializes in pure dps has a warlock.

No guild should rule out a warlock if trying to build a dps-orientated raid. While warlocks are superior at AoE encounters, their single target dps will still be amongst the top if they are a decent player - our warlock tends to be able to parse 2k+ on single targets

With EoF the Warlocks got a HUGE increase in their overall dps... Our Warlock hits 2k - 2.5k dps on single targets depending on her group-setup and the right AA's. And on AE encounters her dps is just insane... Might be that this guild never had a decent Warlock in a raid since EoF...

<p>Me only Wizard, only 1 Warlock, only 1 Necro, only 1 Conjurer. All very good players....and you all are fighting in raids to beat each other out in the ranking on the parse.</p><p>Warlocks like any DPS class can be very good and be fighting for those top positions on the parse as long as the Warlock himself is an intelligent player. These people who like to say this or that class suck probably have only played with crappy players of that class and so are narrowed minded. Warlocks can do very good DPS on Single Target and can blow away group encounters (long as they have the aggro control support).</p><p> So ya Warlocks are good DPS class. WIth the right Support, like Wizards (Lots of hate going to MT in MT group and lots of Deaggro in Warlock/Wizzie group).</p>
