I have the opertunity to get a fabled fist weapon but was wondering wether having that and another decent fist weapon would really be better than using the grizfazzles 2 hander? I am currently spec'd Wis & Int but will be respecing to max dps soon as suggesting in other posts on here any info would be great

Also which class specific AA choices seem to be the best from what i can see they all look quite crappy =/

Also what the hell is the difference between Parry and Diflection? sorry for all the question just things that have been bugging me for a while now lol

Just to help abit I tank quite alot but also wanna be good at dps

Griz 2hander isn't as good as fabled fist weapons, that's for sure. The only thing twohanded that I've been able to get my hands on that even comes close is the Staff of the Flapping Wing, with a Damage Rating (DR) of 106. Shame it swings like a mage... There are others out there of course... but we're talking about affordable, brokerable items. Class specific AA choices? I've heard Drag can be nice. Better use in duels and PVP, but if you are playing with idiots, it can help control a situation. It's another stun when it comes down to it. The detaunt proc replacement is good for if you intend to DPS. It's about all the detaunts you'll need, as with that you can do your 1k+ DPS and not pull aggro.. group or raid in my experience. Which makes Evade entirely not worth the points spent. Any situation where we would get enough buffs to be a problem with aggro, the MT should have enough buffs to blow our aggro out of the water. I have never had to get Evade and have never felt a need for it. The offtank buff is fairly weak. I'm not even sure if the extra health it gives is used up before it disappears. You can try and use it to get extra HP while tanking... put it on a guy who has AE immunity or something. But honestly, it's not worth the points if you intend to do other things. I have it and the only reason I haven't respec'd yet is cuz I'm not sure where to put the points yet, lol. The stoneskin proc would be useful if it wasn't designed to proc less than 1% of the time. Having it proc maybe 1 every 4 or 5 fights is not woth blowing that many points on. My suggestion would be to use your points to pump up the abilities you want. If you tank, pump the aggro control, DPS, and the self heal. If you DPS, then pump the DPS and get the deaggro proc. I have this feeling that Tanking spec and DPS spec will look fairly similar... in fact, most Bruisers will look pretty similar. As for Parry vs Deflection. Deflection is our shield. It blocks the attack. It's very high, and why our avoidance is higher than everyone else. Parry is what all melee'rs get. Blocks an attack too. The only thing is, you Parry before you do any other avoidance checks, and 20% (or 1/5th) of all parries will be ripostes. So if you parry an attack, you have a 1 in 5 chance to attack back due to that successful parry. Since parrying is so much lower chance than Deflection, and since Riposting is only a fraction of that fraction... anything based on Ripostes happening is only VERY rarely going to happen (you are now looking at a fraction of a fraction of a fraction, geez). Parry is also affected not only by the level of the mob, but also the quality. If you think of a mob in terms of Combat Art upgrades... your parry will become more and more useless the higher level the mob attacking you is, as well as the more arrow ups it has. Against an Epic, it is rare to parry at all... let alone riposte... let alone successfully roll to proc a stoneskin off of said rare riposte. Deflection on the other hand, has a limit to how low it can go. In our Defensive Stance, it says the minimum your deflection can be treated. What that means is even though you might fight a lvl 75 Epic x4 mob, your Deflection can never be reduced to 1% or whatever.. it's gonna be at least the listed amount in your Defensive stance or higher. Which do we increase? Well since we boost Deflection already, we'll start getting into diminishing returns fairly quickly. Parry bonuses will be worth more in that respect, even though they do less. Suffice to say, having a Dirge in your group with the Parry buff will definately give you a noticeable increase on your Avoidance stat. Whether it does anything really depends on what you are fighting though.
