I'm really curious about the Developers, Moderators, Game Masters and Administrators. Are you guys Evercrack addicts as well? I'm interested in knowing the inside perspective. Obviously I wouldn't ask for your characters names and server and stuff but I'm just curious about these things. How much of a gamer are you?Do you guys all play on test or do you have an in house server for development before it goes live?What race / classes do you guys play? What levels are your main / alts?If you guys play on normal servers are you guilded?Do you ever play when you get off work?What's your preference, solo, group or raids?Do you often stop during gameplay and jot something down to fix the next day?What are your favorite zones?I've always wondered these questions so figured I would ask.

If you listen to some of the SoE podcast some of the Dev's they interview mention what games they play, and stuff like that. At the end of every podcast the community managers, always talk about the different games they've played since the last pod cast

Do you guys all play on test or do you have an in house server for development before it goes live?I have yet to play on anything other than Test/Live. What race / classes do you guys play?My main is a Fae/Paladin/Weaponsmith What levels are your main / alts?L 34/30 currently. When I moved the family out to join me I had to park gameplay for a few weeks while we unpacked and organized. Back in the saddle though! If you guys play on normal servers are you guilded?Sure am. Do you ever play when you get off work?Yes. I rarely play at work. I've done zone tours with the press, but no actual play time. Too busy for that. What's your preference, solo, group or raids?I like a good group. I'm not ready to raid yet. Do you often stop during gameplay and jot something down to fix the next day?I use the /bug reporting feature in the game. It works, and is much faster than making a note and asking the devs if it's in the queue. What are your favorite zones?I really liked Crushbone. If anyone in my guild were a dev, I couldn't resist the temptation to forever pester them asking about game mechanical details.My question is...what if a player did somehow discover you were a dev? Is it official policy to remove your characters from the server? And if you came across someone like myself bribing you with plat to reveal game mechanic details, what is the policy to deal with such a player? (ban them?)

I can't imagine the temptation too when someone KS's you or harvests your shiny while you're fighting the mobs. It would be tempting to call a giant fist from heaven to smite them into politeness.

The same goes with famous people. Even though they are normal people like you and I they are treated different if they reveal their identity or it's discovered. Nothing worse to someone famous than being treated different (with exception of hollywood and it's thrive for publicity).My family was good friends with some of the Detroit Tigers. One of them was my neighbor. The last thing you do is go over there asking them for tickets, money or whatever else, cause they will dismiss you in a heartbeat. So revealing oneself's identity may be more trouble than it's worth. Not to mention your mistakes would be viewed as bad publicity for the organization you represent. I get mad in the game cause I'm so passionate about it. I would hate for someone to announce what a jerk I am and that I'm so and so from such and such. So I'm sure the answer to that is a big negative. You'll never know who they are in game.

So far only one person has figured out who I am on my private character - and they have been kind about it. My guild does not know. If it were discovered, it's on my private account (not my work one with uber GM powers) so I can't do anything on it that you can't, and while people could ask all kinds of questions and potentially harass my guild mates which I do not want (they don't know). So I wouldn't have to nuke the character or anything like that. My play account is just that, mine! No special powers <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> heck, I'm a horrible tank and a danger to those around me more often than not.

I am sure your not that bad. I know some bad ones and even they can manage to do their job... albeit miserably! Does make ya wonder though if that person in your group is a GM or Dev sometimes!

<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> heck, I'm a horrible tank and a danger to those around me more often than not. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------lol my partner is a troll paladin. when we were still leveling up he wasnt real sure how to be a tank so we took it slow. then things would get going well and id get bored. so whats a bored fury to do? target something across the room and cast a dot. <img src="/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> im not sure how many times a day he'd want to throttle me, but i think through sheer panic reaction alone he learned fairly quick /giggle. he's a pretty awesome pally now. of course i still get boredom streaks and the rest of our group members end up panic'ing. but once they learn to trust us we all have fun. and watching those initial moments of panic can be great entertainment lol. fair warning though....if your healer tank duo is planning to pull adds and make the group panic, make sure anyone with evac gets told its banned first lol. and thankyou to all the devs for answering this. its nice to see your "fun" side hehe

I play on test and try to check stuff out on internal servers before we go live with something big while I'm at work. What race / classes do you guys play? Do you raiders find it hard when you are raiding new content to give suggestions on how to deal with a mob? Like the tactics that should be used to try to defeat it. Since it is not "NEW" to you, and you do know how to defeat it. Do ya just not say anything, or am I wrong and most of yas don't know the final ways to defeat new Raid Mobs? thnx kuk

Maybe I am just nostalgic because that was the first raid I did with my guild on my current server? Typically the way that my group does it is we have a policy of leaving all shinies until the end, after we've cleared Garanel. Once we loot Garanel's chest, shinies are FFA, and there's quite a bit of hilarity as we all run around the zone looking for shinies and dying repeatedly for them. It's worth noting that only ? shinies, and not pages, have a chance to spawn mobs.

I really like to take my time and I tend to do a ton of exploring, harvesting, completing gray quests and broker fun, selling, buying cornering a market. I made so much plat from stripped ants… Do you often stop during gameplay and jot something down to fix the next day? Yes What are your favorite zones? Pride wise, Qeynos its attached villages and the adventure yards bog and ruins. The Qeynos related zone art is still some of my favorite work. I have so many details hidden around Qeynos. If you look hard you can find some Fippy graffiti in the original walls of Qeynos in Elddar Grove. Play wise, it’s hard not to love Nektropos Castle, although I can’t wait to run through Unrest, just a few more levels.

Wasnt a huge fan of the locals tho. Lots of Dachau employees/soldiers were said to have hidden in Heidelberg after the war. I also really enjoy tradeskilling, and I try to keep my preferred tradeskills on my characters in line with their adventuring levels... that can take some work all on its own.
