Then move on to the tougher quests!
Even locking your experience right at level ten it is impossible to do all the quests available to you without having to mentor to keep them green. If you like to quest do them but don't go crazy trying to get as much AA as possible. I'm sure a motivated player could hit 100 around 50 or so but just playing the game normally you should be in the 60's or 70's by level 70.

If you are looking for fast adventure xp, I'd say the best way is to clear out all the blue+ quests to keep both regular xp and aa xp on the boil; to grab easy xp you can always go back and mentor for the quests that you missed .

By 70 i had 82 AAs, and never once locked exp. With my necro, I started gathering AAs ag 48, and by 70 i had 61. It isn't that hard to get AAs, at least while below 70. After that, you need to mentor down to get additional AAs, or grind.

I for one do all the quests. I just can't help myself. I like questing besides, you still get xp from completing the quest even though it's grey just not aa. You have to mentor down to get the aa. But i'm a quest-o-holic and just HATE the grind so thats another reason I like to complete all the quests in a zone. Ok i'm done now . Thats my two cp.

**edited for absolutely horrible spelling errors

I just can't bring myself to delete them....and when I have some slow time available, I'll pick a few of them, advance to the point of completion, then find someone I can mentor too for turn in.

With the exception of under level 10 quests, which do not give AA, and can safely be deleted.

I left EQ2 not long after DoF came out. When I returned a few months ago my main was without any AP, obviously. Since returning I've leveled from 51 to 64 and have amassed over 50 APs. Questing is an AP gold mine. I rarely ever delete a quest, and I try to mentor down before completing gray quests. Players focused on leveling often pass me on the way to 70. They grind XP faster than I gain it through conventional questing and play. What they don't seem to notice is that once they hit 70 their grinding is far from over, since I usually have 20-30 more APs than they do. So I'll stick to my steady XP and AP gain.

I try to do as many as I can per zone, I always planned on going back and doing the rest, but its much easier just to work them all at once, locking xp if nessesary. AA can be a huge help, and its a pain to get once your higher level. It's a lot harder really to go back and get them later mentored, cause you would have to hail each person, as the quest icon is gone cause of level.

I've done the whole do all the quests you can for AA and the rush to lvl up fast thing they both take away from enjoying the game. I've more or less come to the conclusion the aa system needs a overhaul as far as how its attained. As it is currently AA just isnt't well integrated into the game. Play normally and you dont have enough. Make sure you do all the quests and you've wasted a solid week doing one or two aa's. One idea i've had is to let players grind out one aa lvl per adventure lvl, wont be overpowering and provides incentive to do quests without forcing it.

My name is Apsenniel and I am a questaholic! My ambition is to 1) have completed the most quests of anyone in my guild, 2) have completed the most quests of anyone on my server and 3) have completed the most quests of anyone on any server worldwide!

To this end, I keep a list of all quests comleted and those still to do. However, I don't stick to one zone and be methodical in that way although I like the sound of that. It is just too tempting to go to a new area and start afresh. The only quests that I ever delete are ones that I know I can easily get again and that I have yet to start. Space in my journal is usually a problem although I have been working on that recently and have 21 spaces!

Aps is my main character and I have no intention of doing all this over again with my alts. With them, I just adventure for purely idle purposes. If I happen to complete a quest- great - if not - well, never mind!

Have you done all the quests, including the heroic ones for every area? You should have completed 171+ solo quests 52+ heroic quests 13+ creature catalog quests 18+ Legend and Lore quests 9 or so Heritage quests --------- 265 + quests, and not even counting discovery exp, named kills, etc. *information garnered from eq2i. I don't think they have every quest listed, and my list does not include quests listed in the 1-13 level) It is possible to grey out quests even with locked exp. any quest 6 or more levels below you often goes grey.

I two-boxed my way to 70 with a bruiser and a fury. Both have 100 AA's. What I did:

Newbie Timeline (Including The Ruins, Graveyard, Sprawl etc)

About 70% of Commonlands timeline

About 50% of Nek Forest timeline (some rare mobs and outleveled it too fast)

Armor Quests

About 75% of EL timeline

About 90% of Zek timeline

About 10% of Feerott timeline (many of these quests are boring IMO)

About 95% of Steamfont timeline

About 95% of Sinking sands/PoF timeline (didnt finish Ashen Disciples, too much of a grind)

100% of LFay

About 95% of Loping Plains.

Entire Peacock timeline (except the final step, Wrapping it all up)

Many Named in most dungeons, when they were green or blue

Many Named in most overland zones (Zek has a ton of Named for AA, even though loot is bad)

All of the low-level heritage quests (<= 50) except the ones in DFC

What I did *not* do:

Grind groups (maybe one or two in RE, but not for a long period of time)

Lots of collection quests (I had maybe 5-9 or so tops on each char)

Any quests in Butcherblock or GFay, Everfrost, Lavastorm etc

Quests that were too much of a timesink to be worth.

Both chars dinged AA before they dinged 70 (Bruiser at 65 and Fury at 6. The Bruiser dinged first because he got most of the dropped loot that gives AA. The heritage quests give a ton of AA. I recommend them for that alone. Last HQ I completed was Ancient Desert Power which gave like 60% even at like 96 AA's. agressiv

<~~~ quest-a-holic to the Nth degree

I like to do as many quests as I can, adn I bounce all over the palce doing them. I dont care if they are grey, and will happliy go back to previous tiers to "clean up" my quest book.
