1 platinum =

100 gold =

10,000 silver =

10,00,000 copper

multiply by 100 each time (100 cp=1sp, 100sp=1gp, and 100gp = 1pp)

To put it in more practical terms ... 1pp is enough money for the fuel to craft about 12 common crafted items at level 70 (or 166,000+ level 1 items). 1pp is less than than half the cost of the cheapest horse you can buy. 1pp will buy you most rare harvests in game, probably all if you shop around (and more of the lower level ones). 1pp will rent you a 1-room inn in-game for 2000 weeks (38.4 years), or a 2-room inn for about 66 weeks (1.3 years). 1pp will buy you 166 boat trips from Qeynos Harbour to Nektulos Forest.

You know Didi, while I always understood the whole 1 -> 100 -> 10,000 -> 1,000,000 thing, I never thought of applying it as rents or anything like that.

All I know is it goes so fast when I've got a little and start looking for upgrades. . . . . whoops! There went anoher 8 plat! And another 10. . . . .

That's why, from a alt-aholic's standpoint, I always make sure I have an armorer, a weaponsmith, and the appropriate sage class for my main's class. These toons generally don't get leveled in adventure levels, as my main will pass on whatever harvests she doesn't need as time goes on. And, if she really has to, she goes back and farms some more ^_^
