Take Vanguard's idea and put CODs into EQ2! COD = Cash On Delivery, a way of secure transactions through the mailing system. Perhaps offer insurance too, incase the owl drops your package and breaks it!

I'd like to comment, but as I don't play Vanguard, I have no idea what a COD is.

I'm all for it, especially if it comes with stats. Lessee, fish breath should give +5 hate to every melee hit, I'd think.

I'd like to see CoD in the game. WoW had it too.

They get the mail with an attachment button, just like in EQ2. The only thing is, when they take the attachment, it takes 5g from them and mails it back to you. If they balk at the amount, or quit the game, or whatever, the item gets returned to you in a few days. Obviously you can change the amounts and such, but it's basically a way to mail someone an item and guarantee that you get paid for it.

*chuckles* Call me pessimistic, but I can already see the abuse. "Thank you for your purchase at buymyplat.com. To complete the transaction, please send one salty loam via in game email, COD at the cost of 110 plat to receive your currency. Thanks again! We appreciate your business!"

I don't really see the point. With the broker, people get their item immediately, the cash changes hands immediately... I really don't see any need for C.O.D. payments. All that would do is allow people to get buyer's remorse, and the seller loses game time where he could either have sold the item or at least still have it available for sale. What about EQ2's broker mechanic would make C.O.D. a good idea? I just don't see it.

i like the idea, since a lot of the time you can't just find the item you need on the broker, or even at a decent price...

eve online has a contract system, the one issuing the contract puts the requirements and what they will give, the other person accepting the contract has to have the items etc on them when they accept, everything is transferred etc and both sides are happy...it works pretty well imo...almost like a want ad, instead of spamming the channels or searching for someone that will actually do work, having a searchable contract dealie would be nice...crafters wanting to make some quick money can look for orders, and players looking for something at a REASONABLE price (not warden lvl 40 app4s at 20g a peice) will be able to place an order and someone will fill it...expirations on contracts so it doesn't end up becoming a giant mess of 2 year old open orders etc...

an yeah i know how /who works, and really there's rarely anyone that i need with LFW online...spamming the chat channels gets you just as far as doing the /who...and i know from personal experience, i hate getting random tells while i'm in an instance "hey man can u make me some armorz?"...that's why all my crafters that are a decent level end up /annon or /role so i don't have to deal with that stuff...it's almost never worth it to me to make stuff for random people and i hate crafting to begin with
