greetings--

I'm looking for some advice on where to start putting AA's if:

1) you tend to solo quite a bit (possibly duo and group once and awhile)

2) you are still low level (I'm 28 right now) and aren't interested in raid-speccing at the moment

3) you have 20 AA's to distribute

Right now, I'm a bit indecisive about where to spend these 20 AA's - whether to go KOS tree, or EOF tree and which lines. Any suggestions? What should I be working towards to get the most benefit for the AAs early on?

thanks for your input--

--R--

Just my opinion but since you're lower level and mostly solo, I think I'd do this for Predator tree:

STR 4-4-8 STA 4-8-4-8 AGI 4-5

And I'd carry a 1-handed spear with a round shield in off hand. Look for items and adornments that increase parry and defense. You'd have to be in Defensive stance, and you'd have to use the "Gracelessness" poison in addition to the hemotoxins.

For the Ranger tree, first go down the Focus line, then the Poison line and then as many Multi-shot AAs you can get.

Once you get to about level 55 or so, I'd recommend you drop all that and go pure offensive and group more. Rangers were made to benifit from a group.

EDIT: I'm almost wondering if you should first go down the Ranger Trapping tree and get the Ranger Charm Pet ability. There's probably a ton of animals in the EoF zones you can use LOL.

IMO, wait till you have 4 more pts. to spend and go all out on the AGI line for Preds. This is enough pts. to get Poise, the last ability, which reduces your cast times by just over 1/3. This is incredibly useful (I'd say a MUST) when soloing as you'll get more ranged CAs off before the mob gets to you. Even if it allows only one more, that's still going to most likely be much more damage than your melee CAs.

If u solo a lot than 5 points in snare enhancement in EOF tree is the best.

When I got Poise, I was surprised on how much difference a fraction of a second or two makes when trying to get off ranged CAs when playing solo. It helps a lot!

I personally took the no penalty for defensive stance of EOF, then took the runspeed enhancement. It allowed me to break an encounter going bad and run away very fast. I always made sure I had adept3 stances at the least. Then I took the AGI line, but I didn't take poise (I actually didnt' take poise till it dropped from 8 points to 2). I used point blank for another stun to keep from getting hit while soloing and allowed me to back off farther. I then went str to the melee crits and maxed that out. One reason I went this way was for the extra melee attack and the parry. Then, I went down the buff line of EOF to increase the buff durations. Finally, I am going down the ranged EOF tree for double attack. I soloed until I ran out of quests, would group for level or two to get back to a level where I could start soloing again. Quests that I could solo ran out around 65 or so. I never bought mastercrafted gear till I hit 62. I did look for deals on masters, but mostly was adept1s. I never really did the instances, preferring to solo 99% of the time. The only HQ I did was jboots since I could do it solo (no problems with 46% run speed). I wasn't much of a kiter, more of the type to open up with range, let the mob get close, stun, backstab, root, step back, fire ranged again. It worked for me. Didn't work with heroics, but I wasn't trying to kill heroics, I generally never fought anything above a single ^. That is just my experience.
