Hmmm, I'm doing the Confrontation quest where I have to get the Soul Spike, a stand and place them near the fountain. I've gone through the thing several times but have had no luck getting on with it. I place the stand, put the Soul Spike on top of it and wait. The SS starts burning and the stand disappears, then the SS disappears. Nothing else happens and the quest window doesn't advance to another step. What am I doing wrong? ??? The dummy line forms right behind me, I guess!

I did a search for "soul spike" and so I think this is part of the Erudite Racial Quests that you get when you step off the boat. I don't know what you need to do to proceed, as the only thing I found for it is: LINK which doesn't say any more than: " She now sends you off to destroy the Soul Spike by the fountain. When you're finished, she gives you a wristband and her thanks." Hopefully an Erudite will notice this post and come and give some helpful advice.

Hmmm, well, I solved it. After placing the stand and then the Soul Spike you have to click on the Spike again. Once you do that the thing goes up in smoke and you get the "move along, this is done" message. When I originally posted and when I did the quest I thought all I had to do was the initial part. Thought it would be automatic from there. Silly me! PS: Thanks for the helpers who, although they didn't really help, took the time to try.
