I've been having lots of lag whenever I log on. I don't know if it's because I don't have enough video ram or enough system ram. Any suggestions? My video card is: Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 (with 128 mb) System ram: 1.5 Gig's. I've even placed EQ2 on high priority in task manager. Thanks.

What kind of internet connection have you got? Have you defrag'd your hard drive lately? What quality video settings are you running on?

It did improve somewhat, but not a whole lot. The video settings are on high. So, I'm assuming that I might have EQ2 running smoother if I lower them?

You'll see a huge difference in high traffic areas as well in balanced mode.

You can also tweak the video settings individually in the option panel rather than just using one of the default settings (high quality, balanced etc).

Because I'm a fool for a good looking game I started out at extreme quality and tweaked a few things down so that it ran better. Somewhere there is a guide to tweaking the settings. I'll see if I can find it.
