Need Help Choosing a Class

<p>Hi</p><p> I am a little new the Everquest 2 and I need some help choosing a class.  I am looking for a class that has some life but can do damage and take a beating any recommendations?</p>

I'd recommend trying out a brawler type character. Monk or Bruiser. They're leather classes but they have a ton of avoidance and mitigation. They also have tons of whoop-[Removed for Content] to hand out and, of course, they can feign death in a pinch. If you prefer a caster I'd go for a pet class. Necromancer or Conjurer. The pets acts as a buffer between you and death so I'd say they're pretty newb-friendly. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>I have a 24 Necro right now and they seem slow for quick damage, I know they are stronger in the DOT area</p>

Yeah -- they're more into the whole rot and cackle thing hehe. Fury might be another thing to try. Good nukes and a ton of utility like invis and (I assume -- I've only played warden) snare/root.

Do not go brawler, they are the most pointless class in the game. If you search their forums you will find plenty of evidence supporting this.

Try a Brigand. It is the only class that can solo red mobs and take on heroics right out of the gate.
