Ok, I soooo hate to be rude and ignore people but during raids we NEED to stay focused and /afk is unacceptable because you never know who is REALLY afk and who isn't. /busy mode would be such a help for those of us trying to get something done and don't have the time to deal with /tells.

Thanks

Or you could take 2 minutes to hit "R" and then type sorry busy, this request just seems like a waste of coding time to me.

Or you should also just not answer. In addition to that. Put your tells in a separate window that you can inspect at your leisure. And like the above poster said waste of time and coding.

Meant to put 2 seconds as thats about all it takes. And the OP is talking about having to focus on raids well heres what you do while running to the next trash mob just tell the person sending them a tell that they are busy. It is that simple.

Leaders and officers of guilds, popular crafters etc. Yeah labs trash I can basically spend the whole zone afk if I wanted to...other then named it's a 2 group instance these days until you get deeper in. Other raids some of us are swapping out gear, prepairing macro's for MA duty etc. Hey, if they can code /pizza in I'm pretty sure that /busy wouldn't be all that difficult....just change a few lines in the /afk coding and you have a /busy code.

Recently we've just had some peeps lose focus during raids and miss important information on new mobs or strats in EH etc. because of the kindly replies back to /tells saying they are busy.

Something like an AFK message perhaps? Just a /afk Busy in raid. Catch you later.

Seem to remember doing just this sort of thing once upon a tme, now what was that game.........

Personally I'd like to see a /busy tag as well. Specifically for raids even for when working on orders or a nasty zone have to actually concentrate on. It's not about just answer the tells or ignore them its a valid feedback request IMO.

When I send cross server tell to someone and they don't answer or get back to me I can't just see what zone they are in on and go oh duh they are raiding, and when I'm raiding and giving myself carpel tunnel trying to beat the darn necro on parse I sure don't wanna stop to even say raiding catch ya later... and lets be honest we never catch em later its just as polite a blow off as we can handle, and when younger newer players are sending you a tell for help or advice on something they just wanna "ask it real Quick", its a nice subtle way to say well... I'm busy.

I'd love this!!!!! That way when in Guild Chat, I get the "Such and Who has just slain Big Bad Mob", it will reply to all in the raiding party... "Sorry... I'm busy at the moment. Please be patient while I try to clear my screen of your accomplishments during the the raid. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Just leave a message after the Fae squeals"

I like the /busy idea. /busy <your auto-reply message here> It seems to never fail for our guild recruiters that people want to send tells about recruitment during raids!

Absolutely nothing wrong with asking for a /busy command. Would add a feature that would be quite useful for some, yet would be of no disadvantage to those that don't need. Win - win.
