I'd like to start off with by saying that this is an irrelevant post with absolutely nothing informative. It is more of a curiousity!

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to play a Conjuror or Necromancer without any pets. Yes, let me reiterate - without any pets. Meaning, go from lvl 1 to whatever level with just the few dots and AoE we get. Has anyone ever tried this?

My brother and I talked about this for a bit and he seems to think that similar to City of Villains archytype of Mastermind (a pet class) you can do the same thing in EQ2 i.e. play without a pet even tho you're a pet class.

Would like to know your thoughts if any regarding this. Obviously it's a silly experiment but I suggested to him to give it a shot and see.

When I am bored, lazy, or wanting to test my own dps/survivability I go without a pet...and I actually did go without a pet a few times while leveling up to build up defense skill and focus. Definite loss in damage, but we can still bring on the pain.

I'm also considered clinically insane by some of my guild and fellow necros.
