Does everyone else realize Fury's can get 45.4% IN combat AND OUT of combat run speed by spending just 25 AA's? Er, sorry...

With pact of the cheetah you get 110% run speed : )

Hee. Yeah, I knew that. And you could get 110% run speed with PotC if they didn't cap it. As it is, run speed is capped at 100%.

Haha. I'm having so much fun with my new fury, I can't believe what a great class this is.

I wish in-combat run speed wasn't useless on PvE

I don't know. In a situation where a named will toss out an aoe stun of something it allows me to move out of that aoe range faster. On raids it also helps me joust in and drop a Ring of Fire then joust out without sacrificing healing or any dps I might be doing. Also makes me a great body-puller for groups, since I can go out pretty far and then I'm fast enough I stay out of range of the mob and it doesn't even hit me once before I get it back to the group and the tank taunts it off.

I don't find it to be worthless in PvE at all.

Ah, but when you body pull you aren't actually engaging the mob so in-combat move speed is irrelevant, silly. So it works out of combat too, that's just a technicality. Even in raids I still find it useless why joust when you can slap on some resist gear and get in with the melees? I can think of maybe three encounters where we can't do this. Try it out, it's fun! Or not... it becomes a bad habit to burn all your power as fast as you can then flip on animal form and get it all back while still whacking the mob (unless someone interrupts your fun by taking damage ). Nice damage, though.

I sometimes spell pull too if I'm pulling from far enough that they'll leash without having been tagged. In that case, I *am* in-combat. Plus if I leave the radius of the bard or whatever, even if I am just body-pulling and don't engage, they can usually catch me unless I'm sprinting backwards. Or they could until I boosted my speed, that is. . . .

Last raid I was on, I did burn power and animal form it when I could, but. . . darn groupies taking damage. . . I only got about 20% back before I had to toggle it off to heal

It's 26 AA's, you forgot to count the starter in the Druid (old KoS) line. Yeah, that's been pretty well known and documented since EoF hit the test server. If that's not enough for ya, Fae and Kerrans get an extra 5% racial runspeed trait, and the level 70 Fury PvP armor set gives you an extra 15% runspeed if you wear 3 pieces of it. Yes, that's all in-combat runspeed, and yes again, all in-combat runspeed stacks and works both in and out of combat. So, a Fae/Kerran level 70 Fury with 3 or more pieces of PvP gear can achieve 65% in-combat runspeed, which means he's fast as wildfire at all times.

Thanks,
Through your Alternate Achievement points (AA's). Assuming you have the KoS (for the Druid line) and EoF (for the Fury line) expansions, you can accrue Achievement points, normally called AA's. Spend your first 9 in the Fury line: 3 on the pre-requisite, then 5 in Predator, this gives you a 35% in-combat runspeed buff when you use your Predator spell. Then spend the next 17 in the Druid line: 1 in the starter Shapeshift, then 4 in the pre-req stat, 4 in the 2nd level power, and 8 in the runspeed buff. That's a total of 26 AA points.

And its 25 AA's better spent on more useful things, IMO. Maybe on PvP it would be more useful, but a carpet suits me fine out of combat, and in a pinch I can use Pact of the Cheetah. Then again, I dont really care for the WIS line at all, so I'm biased. I'm spec'ed in the STR and INT lines, and chose Wild Spirit for the INT boost over run speed in the EoF lines. agressiv

My Warden only needed 8 (or perhaps it was 11) Achievement Points to get a 55% run speed (SoW upgrade plus Jboots)

The warden run-speed is only out-of-combat, though. While that's spiffy for just running around in safe areas, it doesn't help jousting, positioning, fleeing, training, or any of the other countless reasons I like having my ICRS high. Someone mentioned being able to just hit pact if they need a boost, but pact has a long recast, and the ICRS from the fury AA lines stacks with sprint, which means running at 85% whenever I have power to burn.

>> the ICRS from the fury AA lines stacks with sprint I didn't know that. That kicks. My fury is lvl 14 with 10 AA's so far... I'm pumping the peerless line so when I ding 20 I'm set at 35%. I'm also pumping the Wis line so I can get to 45%!!! I dig fury's!

With PotC, jboots, our many illusion spells that increase speed and sprint, we get like 500% run speed.

On a serious note my main is a conj and I hate going back to my mistrunner because I'm so addicted to the speed I get on my fury.
