Is there a trick to aquiring lore and legend quests from the books in peoples houses? I tried giving trustee access to my alts and having them read the books, but it did not offer the quest.

You can't do it that way. You'll need to take your alts to pick up the books at the appropriate levels.

Was about to start a new thread when i spotted this old one.

Running my 8th alt round the world to pick up all the oh-so-many books its really getting old and more like a chore.

Just think about it from a RP point of view. To get the ability to become a "master" killer of a particlar foe you must read up on them and then kill some and examine parts of their physiology. Firstly why arent all these books held in the libraries in FP and QE? Secondly what does it matter who owns the book you read to learn the information?

Why would it be a bad idea to allow my alts to read the books my main spent all that time collecting? (or in my case i collected them all 7 times already, what is the idea behind making me do it all an 8th or 9th or 12th time?)

Better yet make them placable in the guild halls. That way we can work together as a guild to gather all the books and place them in the guild library for other guildies to read. Which would make having a library of your own or your guilds actualy have a point.

^^^ Dont try to enact logic or anything...

It would give libraries a real value, something I too would like to see /shrug

Along those line I would like to see the whole Master Strike thing redone a bit and add some actual value into it by coupling it with number of kills:

Finish L&L: you acquire Master Strike/Rage etc (Adept I) - current version

500 Kills: Hunter Title / Master Strike (Adept III) - add slightly more damage/ability

5000 kills: SlayerTitle / Master Strike(Master I) - significantly more damage

10,000 kills: Destroyer Title / Master Strike(Master II) - even significantly more damage

Logic would dictate such a thing. Reading and studying would give you some knowledge but practical application into killing ungodly numbers of the things would truly make you a destroyer. Logic is often on vacation though.

I love that idea Artiemiz. It would give some meaning to the number of kills and titles at long last.

And yet oddly enough im unable to retain even a scrap of information from all my hours of reading. I can only assume im suffering from a mental defect perhaps brought on from either my drink problem or a knock on the head, the second was a direct result of the first.
