<p>Hey Devs,</p><p>Could you color code the loams so that we can tell the difference by looking at them without having to float the cursor over each stack?  </p><p>The woods (for the most part) differ in design between tiers.  That's a nice detail, but nothing that elaborate is needed for the loams.  If they weren't all the same little white mounds, they would be very easy to distinguish.  (As it is now, they look like each other as well as the varying dusts [glittering, sparkling, etc.], which makes it kinda weird for my alchy to open his bag.  He looks like a coke dealer!</p>

I would love it if they would at least change the color or icon for dusts, so they are different from loams. It is a pain to find the dust you need if it got mixed in with the loams.

Genius!

I suggested this same idea a long time ago and nothing has been done about it.  I think that atleast they should make the rare loams a different color or have some dots on them or something to distinguish them from the common loams.

Wow, two topics in one day that I feel the need to go "Hear, Hear" for and put my voice behind as well.  Different colors would make my life a lot easier as not only can I not remember where I've put which loam, but I also frequently get my tiers confused and grab the wrong one out.

<a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=347460" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">There's an entire thread dedicated to this already</a> And not just for the loams... <snip> As most TS'rs know, your shared banks get full of harvestables. ...And sometimes, you get the loams mixed up and grab a wrong one only to grab the right one and later put it back in the wrong slot, then you have a minor Rubiks Cube on your hand trying to figure out the Tier of the loam and where it logically goes in your storage and OMG!!!!! <img src="/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> It would be really nice if there was a way to visually or mouse-over(ly?) be able to identify the Tier of the harvestable you're looking at. <b>I was thinking that applying the con colors to the 7 tiers would fit perfectly (Grey, Green, Blue, White, Yellow, Orange, Red)</b> either by simply stroking the inside of the iconic box or maybe in the corners. Alternately, adding a line below the name and above the commonality of the item in the mouse-over description would work too. </snip>

<p>What if they just added a tier discription to the mouseover of all the harvests? I've sent this particular feedback in before and really do think it would help. ie - spongy loam (T7 treasured)     porous loam (T7 no-value)    I think color coding would help some, but you would still have to remember the colors if you were new, and eventually after more expansions the colors might tend to look a little alike. So just add an exact discriptor. </p><p>Brega - 70 Ranger, Test Server</p>

<p>Ack no, Not only color code loam. Need to change its icon as well.</p><p>Did you know that transmute powders are already color coded? And those powders icon are the same as loam ones. If color code loams then too much colors and confusing between loam and transmute. Just need to change icon as well to separate loam and powders..</p>

<p>A mouseover descriptor with tier would absolutely change my crafting life.  I have at least 4 tiers of harvestables in my boxes and bags, and while I try to keep them separate, it's really impossible.  I know that I could just be more careful about it, or more clever and remember which is which all the time, but something that simply told me would really make my life easier.</p><p>I know tonight is going to be spent fixing the enormous mess I made the last time I crafted and was careless about my placements in the bank.  First, however, I think I need bigger boxes.... again.</p>

Nice list Calthine!!  I love the Uses Column.  The shared bank shuffle is a real drag sometimes and I'm only running an Armorer, Provisioner and Alchemist all in 40 to 46 level range, I can only imagine the hassle for 4 skillers and up!  I want to seriously work on Sage and maybe Tailor, but my eyes start to blur and the room starts to spin when I think about it...  LOL

With my alts they all keep their own resources.  If one runs out of something I'll transfer it through the shared bank or mail.  I tried running master boxes with efverything and passing them around, but it was just a PITA.

An alternative would be to make the first two tiers (when the crafter is not yet specialized) both grey. That would allow red for T8 if it ever came to pass; admittedly not the best solution for expandability. Any system would need the ability to be quickly visually identifiable and also easily grouped, hence the colors.

In before people complaining this trivializes the game and how uncoded loams add depth.

It would be a nice change if they updated the tool tip to include the Tier the raw material is used for.
