<p>Greetings everyone.</p><p>I would like to request an option to offer players a chance to play EQ2, with out intereuptions from guildmates and friends....basically playing the game incognito!<img src="/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>I can't count the times that I want to just hop on and craft or harvest, but then start getting bombarded with tells and the like from guildies and others.<img src="/smilies/e78feac27fa924c4d0ad6cf5819f3554.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>I love my guild and friends that play, but sometimes I am just not in the mood to talk and feel obligated to reply.</p><p>If SOE can make you roleplay or anon., why not offer an INCOGNITO option?????<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>PLEASE....</p><p><img src="/smilies/97ada74b88049a6d50a6ed40898a03d7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Setup a separate chat tab/window exclusively for /tells. When you want to play uninterrupted, simply ignore that window. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Raid guilds would of loved this feature back when contested mobs were important.  Other guilds use to watch their friends list to determine if a raid guild was gathering for a contested.

Go on bnet.  They have "bot commercials" spamming you in tells and chat.  Good times..</p><p>EDIT:  Spelled 'terrible'wrong <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

If SOE can make you roleplay or anon., why not offer an INCOGNITO option?????" I know this problem good, you have the mood to be left alone but you hear the first message plop sound already at the loading screen. "Can You come here and there, make this, make that, let's group, let's chat" and so on - it's like a telephone stucked at your ear and you can't switch it off. AFK is not a solution, it's simply not credible to your friends if you log in and immidiately go AFK. If you do this several times you appear unfriendly. Incognito playing was demanded several times before (best would be a check box on the launch pad so that no friend-has-logged-in or guild-mate-has-logged-in messages would be generated) but I think it will never come. Maybe SOE fear that too much players would use this function and the game would appear emptier than it is. It's not intended that You have privacy in a MMORPG /sarcasm off

Not everyone hides from friends though... I think it'd be hilarious to get caught with the "Appear offline" option checked. <i> Jenny the Ratonga, while running to the mender, spies longtime friend and guildmate, Brad Ogrekiller. Jenny: "Brad...is that....but it said you're..." Brad: "I-I....*blink*....it's not what you think. Funny story actually. Jenny, wait! Don't leave." </i>

communication is the key .... why join a guild to go solo all the time? or you just joined to get spells and help in quests? and to chat sometimes?  /gkick imo..... if u want to play solo , just SAY IT? ppl wont force u to reply tells or go help them or raid or group with them /afk playing solo now dont disturb please. <----Easy /quit your guild

hmm, we need a potion or spell for "super stealth", which nobody can ever see...

Or how about just being honest...put afk up and announce in guildchat your busy today and won't be able to do much?  Its your time it should be respected if you don't want to do something.  I wouldn't take offense to it, infact I'd understand it.

Sometimes you don't want to be pestered by people on your friends list, so announcing it to the guild chat won't always tell everyone, if you have a lot of friend on your friends list. I think there should be a DnD(Do Not Disturb) tag, just like the /afk you can type "/afk Playing by myself." and it will response as that is your message.

Let it me explain to You by other way: Imagine I would install a device in Your home which sends every time You enter Your home messages to all Your friends, colleagues and whatever persons who have decided they want to be informed when You enter - no way for You to disable this device. Would You like that?
