The only way to get AA and not get xp, is to kill nameds right? Trying to get aa in pvp without getting xp so i dont ding. i see a list of mobs at http://eq2.allakhazam.com/ which ones give you AA, just the ones that are considered rare mobs? or do quest mobs do it too. thanks

Most names give it, but some don't.

Generally the ones that don't are quest mobs, in order to discourage aaxp seekers from hitting them when they don't "need" to. Of course, still no way to know until you kill it, so they end up being killed anyway, but such is life. . . .

You get achievement experience in several ways:

Killing certain named mobs

Completing quests

Completing collections

Discovering new areas

Discovering certain types of loot ('treasures', status loot)

Any of these will gain you AA. The problem here, as you will notice, is that all these are one-shot deals. You can only kill a name for AA once. You can only discover an area once. Therefore, the best way to get AA is by finishing quests, the higher con the better.

Unfortunately, that's not as easy on PvP as it is on PvE. There's no way to convert adventure experience into achievement experience before you reach level 70.

He asked for ways without getting XP. There are two ways. Kill nameds, and quests with examine items as final step (Such as L&L and language. Die, examine the final item, and DING! AA and no xp.

Third way would be getting all AA-rewarding drops from your tier (or any other you can manage to get mobs killed in). Get high-lvl friends to group with you and burn mobs in all tiers, pick up the status items and the many precioussss's spread across the different creatures, these are body drops so greying them out won't matter. High-tier items should give quite a bunch of AA me thinks..

Anything else you should get AA XP.

There are a few lower-lvl quests around that still don't give AA, like some of the newbie-zone quests (e.g. Forest Ruins) - even if above lvl 10. Another one I remember is the dreg-kerran love story in CL. But most others (if not repeatable) should.
