Tradeskills - First Time

<p>I'm very sorry to ask such a lame question but, I'm new to EQ and I've just picked up the "Starting a Tradeskill" thing, it's asked me to make Fried Frog Legs. I'm got the recipe and ingredients but I can't find where to get the fuel for the stove. It says I need Walnut something or another to fuel the stove. I've tried looking for this in the exchange and with provisioners/general good people but to no effect. </p><p> Can anyone tell me where I can find this last ingredient?</p><p>Also does anyone have any hints or tips for Tradeskilling in general? </p>

<p>There is a merchant in the tradeskill instances (up near the entrance in freeport instances, down the stairs in the qeynos instances, dunno about kelethin), he/she will sell all the different types of fuels you will ever need.</p>

<p>You buy the fuel from the fuel merchant.  Depending what city you're in, he or she may be located in different places.  In Qeynos tradeskill instances, he's at the bottom of the stairs.  In Freeport, he's at the top, right near where you enter.  And in Kelethin, look in Joleena's Restaurant, he'll be standing near a stove & keg station.  I believe it will be 'walnut kindling' you need.</p><p>For some handy general tips, check out the <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=347090" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">FAQ's in the tradeskill forum </a>(and in fact check out the tradeskill forum in general).  <a href="http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/news_page.php" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">EQ2 Traders</a> is also a great source for all the latest updates on crafting as well as a whole bundle of tradeskill-related guides and handy information (click on the guides link in the left menu).</p>

Many of the specialized merchants in the city also sell fuel for their specific professions.  For example, I am a woodworker and I buy my fuel (sandpaper) from the bowyer next door to my house in South Qeynos.

The NPC you want is usually labeled as "wholesaler" when inside the tradeskill instance. In Queynos they are usually at the bottom of the stairs.  In Freeport they're at the top of the stairs.
