Auditor of Silence: aITEM 1807050560 -1158784496:Auditor of Silence/a

Can anyone confirm that this earring procs 9800 mental resists like the in-game link says, or just 900 as the link from my database says? I want confirmation though, don't just look at the link and read the number off, i would like to see screenshots (or atleast you tell me that you checked) of before and after it procs.

If its 9800, then it would explain the insane resist rates i get against tanks, and it needs nerfing. If its only 900, then i guess i can live with it.

Normally i wouldn't care, but when almost everything, debuffs, mez, all of my damage other than auto-attack and procs (and my stealth/positional attacks) is mental damage, that earring (25% chance to proc on any mental damage) will be proccing like mad and if its 9800, then it almost completely shuts me down.

Yeah, it is that bad. Itemization is broken in the game.

Yes, as soon as this procs, I go straight to 80% resistance to mental. This item is hardly the problem though, it is merely a symptom.

I cant remember the exact number but it goes from 25% to 30 somthing % and stack with every Dirge in the group hehehehe.

Boo-hoo. You can't mez tanks. Cause tanks are SOOOO overpowered...

Cocytus wrote:
Boo-hoo. You can't mez tanks. Cause tanks are SOOOO overpowered...
Rather, broken itemization. Chanters and bards deal pretty much all their damage in mental. Having people instantly virtually immune to all you can do for the remainder of the fight is a broken mechanic. Or how would YOU like it if someone did the same to YOU? Oh, ehere is Teh Reeng öf Ubah. It will have a 25% chance to cast ubah on yourself if anyone pokes you. Ubah: Target gains 80% mitigation and 80% avoidance for 30 seconds. Also, having these values set hard, so even if you debuff them, they are still at 80/80%.

Even with EVERY single one of my resist debuffs at master level with full AAs, i STILL can't even get rid of half that buff. Also, I have exactly 2 CAs that dont cause mental damage. So I'm causing mental damage atleast a couple times a second... so that proc is ALWAYS going to be up when they're fighting me.

Troubadors already have crap personal DPS, with this proc, tanks are un-killable.

FIX it please.

This item is broken, and it's not the only one that is. Great designing board ideas don't always work well when thrown into the mix with other things. This proc-buff is overpowered, and when the item-switch macro system comes into play in LU33, it will become even more overpowered becasue you don't even have to have it equipped, but rather you can switch out entire gear-sets with a single key. If you see a troubador, coercer or illusionist, hit the button that swaps in your mental resist gear, and the earring that makes you unkillable. Yeah, the item is broken.

Yeah. Don't mind them fixing it if it's a pvp fix only and they don't penalize pve because of it.

But then again there is the pvp scout belt so this topic is much less hot than that one. That gives scouts (the unarguably best pvp classes) immunity to melee for a short duration.
