Hey guys,

I've recently run into some financial problems and I had to cancel my subscription. When I get $$ again, will my characters still be there?

Thanks

Afentis

The Official Word is that your characters are safe for 90 days. However, the only time they've deleted characters was when they did server mergers and there were old old old low-level toons with names someone needed.

It's a fairly safe bet that your toons will still be here if you come back.

Because of an increased work schedule I had to quit the game for over a year and a half. When I finally started to get some free time again I reactivated my account and everything was just as I left it.

Sony doesn't delete your characters except for ones under level 5 that have less than 1g and haven't been played for for over a year etc (name holders). I've been tight on funds before and canceled my second account and left it off for many months. I've actually canceled both my accounts every now and then when I take a break from the game (which has only been twice so far) or when going on 2-2.5 weeks of vacation. Everything's always been fine.

If Sony handles EQ2 anything like EQ you should be fine. I quit EQ for over two years and when I logged back in recently I had everything the same as I left it.

Afentis, without a subscription, you are now limited to being able to post in the Trial forums as well as the technical forums (and you will not be able to send PM's).

As already suggested, your characters will be safe for the 90 days, but after that *shrug*.... they do not have a history of wiping characters unless they give A LOT of notice...

SOE is very good at keeping characters in their DB. Like others have said barring a massive chnage in the game (ie server merge) that almost certainly won't happen anytime soon so you should be fine.

Last time I reactivated my old account (after it was dormant for almost a year), there was a free 2-week pass to EQ1. Curiousity got the better of me; I hadn't even logged into EQ1 since EQ2 came out. I got to see my old BEAST L0RD one more time. [Removed for Content] near brought a tear to my eye. SOE's good about that.

I was 'cancelled' for a year and every one of my toons is still there. They where in the 20s to 80 range.
